Just a quick reminder: It may be feasible to mod a D4S to increase its peak output from ~4800 lm to ~6000 lm, but it’s not really going to be a visible difference. It’s mostly a thing to do for educational purposes, or for the joy of doing it, and not for any practical benefit.
Definitely go ahead and max out the lumens if you like; it’s great fun. It’s just not going to be noticeable without a lux meter.

I got an XP-L HI 1A in green from MTN that lacked a magnet best I can tell.
Richard said he checked as many as he could for magnet.
But that’s why I like going for 10,000-12,000 TK, so it’ll be noticeable!

Dale you start pushing it hard enough to get 8000+ we are going back to the 20-30 sec run time like the D4 again.
So it’s official, I ordered a green D4S earlier today from Richard.
Wait, what? What are you saying strayz? You mean, lights are supposed to actually run longer than 10 seconds at a time?

TK, for such a highly talented modder and flashlight techie, I always enjoy your very simplified comments on complicated things that us non techies can understand. Thanks!

I couldn’t wait for the shockli 26650 to be fully charged… it is 4.08v and I got 4730 lumen @ turn on. I use Texas ace tube for the lumen specs.
Xpl hi 5000k tint… big hotspot… look more into cool white tint.
Well hopefully this means mine is arriving soon. Mine also shipped on the 11th and the mailman is probably confused why I’ve been checking the mailbox every day.

Please disregard the old test… here is d4s xpl hi 5000k with fully charged shockli 26650. It is pushing 5000 lumen.
Hmmm. Mine is still processing. I wonder if I should be concerned, or just wait patiently.
