Very nice!
Looks terrific pp. Love the style.
Looking nice!!
You should have seen the amount of wood dust and chips I produced making all the small pieces for my lantern.
I got copper fever
Wonder what the scrap value is? I save copper cutoffs from all the solar system wiring I do. If I strip the insulation the last batch brought almost $2.50 a pound.
Hmm… Aluminium, copper and wood. Sounds like something Moose would use in one build
That Moose guy sounds like an old fool.
Mostly done with this light now. Lathe work is all done. Driver has a little heatsink plaster to hold it in place. Led is soldered. Tail is finished.
It turned out longer than I was expecting but at least it can take protected cells as well as tail stand. The UI of this driver (FX-35) is not so good (H-L-S), if it was just H-L I would be happy with that.
Quick beam shot with the phone. Sorry I didn’t notice the reflection of light in the glass door until I looked on the pc. It has a smaller spill and hotspot than the E14 and AT40
E14
AT40
The only thing left is a pocket clip. I found one on hand but I’m not sure if this one will be strong enough for a light this size.
Good to see your torch finished pp. Congratulations.
With the clip you used I double up on them as they bend very easily. Two fixes that problem.
Good to see another build coming to fruition
Congrats on finishing the light
That’s a great idea. I never would have thought of that. Especially since this is the only one I have on hand :person_facepalming:
I’ll order some more, if it gets here on time great, if not then I think it still qualifies as finished.
Thanks guys
Looks complete to me. Great!
Yes, another sadly missed member. RBD was very clever and skilful.
Ah yes, another master builder. I am but a grasshopper…
well done pp. soz about your pooch
Very nice! Great EDC, I guess.
Thanks. It’s a little large for my edc preferences but I suppose it could be an edc.
Thanks lostheplot.
