I ordered four E07 from FF website through Freeme’s link last night. Two of them are for my friends. Will we see a Maukka review for this?
A review from Maukka would be real nice. I ordered just one and was hoping for a review before ordering more. I see ff has posted lumen specs on all emitters now on their website.
I sent PM to Jack and his response is:

Yes, we were about to ship out on 20th, but Maukka want to see clear-anodized E07, So we will ship the samples by DHL next week.
Ordered the SST20 4000k version just now.
What is the recommended battery for best brightness and runtime?
This is my first “serious” flashlight so I’m still a little green with how different drivers work and how much amps they draw.
Finally ordered a ff e07 with your code. I’ve been very happy with all my other fireflies lights so far, so couldn’t resist any longer. I’m liking the 21700 format.
same here. code for the FF site did not work. Ordered an bare aluminium Nichia 219b with blue aux emitters for the full price. I did not plan to buy another light today, lol.
Can anyone comment on battery choice for the 219B option E07? Is it still best to stay with a 10 A battery like the Samsung 50E as was recommended for the 219B version of the PL47 or do the extra emitters actually need a higher max Amp battery to get the best turbo output without overdriving the 219B’s?

2.5A per emitter is about the absolute max you’d ever want to drive a 219B (and even that is really pushing it IMO). I chose to run NCR18650Bs in my PL47 because just because a cell is rated for a continuous drain doesn’t mean that’s the max current a FET will pull from it as I understand things.

Thanks BurningPlayd0h! Since the Samsung 50E have a Max Continuous Discharge Current Rating of 9.8A, but the Manufacturer Rated Max Discharge Current (not continuous) is 14.7A, I guess I am safe at turbo for short durations on my E07. I will avoid turbo on my PL47/Samsung 50E combo and continue to look for a safer 21700. Don’t want those 219Bs to start going purple on me! In the meantime, I am trying to find those four – NCR18650Bs I bought a while ago…
One of the legs on the optic is broken off because they used that hole for a screw:
I was planning to use a Samsung 50E, but it appears to be too long. After watching M4D M4X’s video I did not want to risk denting it by tightening the cap, so I used a Samsung 30Q instead. I will try the Samsung 40T with the XPL HI unit that should be arriving later this week.

7x SST20 4000K NW CRI95 3800 lumens
7x SST20 5000K NW 4800 lumens
7x CREE XPL HI V3 CW 6500K 6900 lumens
7x CREE XPL HI V2 3A NW 5000K 6200 lumens
7x CREE XPL HI V2 5A NW 4000K 6200 lumens
Neals and BG states this …
7x Nichia 219B R9080 CRI98 3500lm
7x SST20 4000K NW CRI95 3500lm
7x SST20 5000K NW 3500lm
7x SST20 6500K CW CRI66 4500lm
7x CREE XPL HI V3 CW 6500K 6900 lm
7x CREE XPL HI V2 NW 5000K 6200lm
Which set of numbers is correct?
I NEED to know before I order …
Eh, just pick the lowest number for each, and think about this:
The brightest emitter is the XP-L HI, and less throw than the SST-20 70CRI.
The throwiest emitter is the 5000k/6500k 70CRI SST-20, and less lumens than the XP-L HI.
The throwiest high CRI emitter is the SST-20 95CRI 4000k/3000k, with more throw and lumens than the 219B.
The best emitter tint is the 219B, with less throw and lumens than the SST-20 95CRI, but better tint.
