*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

I will mention to Barry to send me an extra lens/globe to do testing on indeed. ( as i will be doing as series of testing as videos on Youtube.

nice :+1:

Regarding a rubber bumper:
What about a groove for a big o-ring on head and bottom?
Or any other rubber seal from the plumbers store?

That could be a good idea to add.

Interested, thank you

Please add me to the list for one. Awesome work by everyone involved! Iā€™ve been following this thread for several years now. :+1:

Thank you for the update and all of your continued efforts, Den! :+1:

Iā€™m looking forward to your new testing videos.

I watched your original prototype videos when you first posted them. And a couple more times since.

Thanks for the support. I do need to do more videos of flashlight & lanterns, and will definitely soon, especially once this BLF LT1 lantern project gets rolling.

I think the basic model could use a modified version of Anduril. Basically just set to the multi mode group instead of ramping, and possibly some high number of clicks to unlock Anduril so the normies donā€™t accidentally change things.

This is fantastic news, been following for some time. As a long time lurker, this is the project that made me join BLF to get in on the action, very much looking forward. Thank you to all whoā€™ve invested their time and resources to realize this lantern.

This is great! Itā€™ll be right in time for the summer hiking season. Any news on whether the final product will have usb C? Iā€™m really hoping it does, itā€™d be great to carry a single cable for both the ft03 and LT1.

I really hope it does, at this point Iā€™d rather have no charging then have to deal with micro usb, every mico usb cable I had always seems to fail at the worst moments.

Sofirn is really doing work around here. Good to see, they are earning points with me.

I just don't understand why they don't make the C8F with XPL-HI...

the USB-C interface is planned.

Thatā€™s awesome, thanks for the updates!

And yes, Sofirn has really changed the game for the better.

This is awesome. Iā€™m interested in one

I am interested in one

Definitely interested. Please add me to the list Iā€™ll take 2

Intrested in 2 please

I too remember somewhere around the $40 mark early on in the development of this lantern. That was just for a basic no frills lantern.

But what this has evolved into is far from a ā€œbasic no frillsā€ lantern.

And the ā€œestimatedā€ price of $50, as stated in post #3759; is an absolute bargain!!
<span class=ā€œtimeā€@ this at unit per $50 around be to cost the estimating is manufacturer ā€œthe #3759ā€¦ post from @quoteā€>

Remember folks, $50 is the estimate at this time.

DSBAR, I think you have done & are doing a stellar job with this project!! Thank youā€¦. :+1:

And as been mentioned before, thank you for NOT going the cheap route just to meet some mythical unrealistic idea of a budget lantern price. :+1:

This lantern is gonna be a game changer I think!!
