Dang, it looks like I’ll be spending money on a Folomov Pen L1.
I like the C2 that I’ve had for a couple weeks.
Is $25 the discounted price for the Pen L1?
Thanks.
Is $25 the discounted price for the Pen L1? Thanks.
no
I just noticed that the published outputs for the L1 are the same as for the EDC C1, even though the battery in the L1 is 2x as big.
This doesn’t seem likely that that the two lights have the same capacities.
Anyone know the actual specs for the L1?
got both colors - funny how the color change with different lightsource

How do I get a discount code for the Pen L2?

That Pen L1 is rather interesting. The specs listed are a little weird though - It looks to use a specialty internal USB charged 10900, but the text also says it runs on 10440 and 10400, depending on where you look.
I like that the Pen L1 is substantially shorter than a (2) AAA light.

I noticed those discrepancies, also.
I suspect that they copy and pasted from the C1 information and didn’t proof read very thoroughly. The published output specs are the same for the C1 and L1, and they probably shouldn’t be the same.
Those errors will confuse a lot of people.

It does look like it uses a really special-looking 10900 lithium ion battery, which has a built-in charging port (otherwise, no current charger can charge 90mm length batteries (maybe a magnetic charger with a low-charge current will work)
I wonder if the 10900 is about twice the capacity of 10440, since it looks to be about twice as long?
Or maybe can we substitute 2x AAA NiMh/Alkaline batteries (but voltage may be too low?)
Looking to purchase an Opus BT-3100 on banggood, but the code on your blog has expired
Folomov L1 does not work (properly) with 2xAAA eneloop (low modes only)
just tested on mine

Thanks for testing!
Ok, I supposed if the 10900 battery goes bad, then another option could be to use a 10440 battery, and then use a dummy AAA battery to connect with it then…

That should work fine assuming lengths are proper.
