There are so many flashlights to learn about and then buy. I first came here to research “the last” flashlight I was ever going to buy. This flashlight was going to replace the last flashlight I bought, which was supposed to be my “one flashlight to rule them all” light, and then I realized that the coke can flashlight while potent was not really going to work in any situation other than being on a job site, much less trying to wear one on my belt while driving.
I bought 3 flashlights in June, this place is addictive.
Haha! yeah P10pablo
I got hooked a while back with the 3-cell maglite, with my first drop-in led upgrade kit. It amazed me how bright it was, and with the maglite’s deep reflector, it wowed! a lot of people when I went camping. I thought nothing could be brighter.
Then I got a Terralux (130 lumen I think) flashlight, of which I bought three, thinking nothing is gonna beat these.
It carried on from there
A love of flashlights is very interesting. It definitely feels like some of us are big into them, while others (most) could care less. It is kinda like the phone, where I do use my flashlight and camera, but they’re always a compromise to the far superior daily carry camera I have, and the torch I carry with me.
Back to flashlights though, i’ve always loved flashlights and i’ve always been drawn to buying them. As a kid, a flashlight was always in my hand after dark, I was either reading under the blanket, or chasing creatures in the night.
Lastly, what is the light in the lower hand corner?
Me too, always had a fascination for light. sound. and radio.
I collected flashlights/torches when I was 9 years old (56 now) all incandescent lights back in the late 60’s/early 70’s. My friends and I used to love going out on misty nights with them.
The flashlight lower left is a Klarus MI7
Lower right one (pictures below) was thrown at me from a passing vehicle, hitting my bag I was carrying, so I ended up with a free usb rechargeable light
Can’t complain about that! Not sure what make it is.
