Can you do me a favor and check the amperage draw when the batteries get down around 3 volts each, please.
I could have kept that light for a week and played around with it. It looks like it going to take me a couple months to get more of those drivers and you got the one and I only I bought for testing. I was so excited about how well that thing worked, I did minimal testing before I sent it back to you.
How come every time I need something you have like ten of them in a box somewere? Were do live again and when are not going to be home............um I mean thanks for the offer PM sent.
E1320. Is this driver or something similar available elsewhere as I cannot get the website listed to load correctly if at all? My main issue is that my light does not have memory.
I ordered six different drivers from various vendors. The one from LCKLED was 3 mode, pulled the most amps and fit the pill perfect so I used that one. I have been unable to log in and order more since I got that one because LCKLED is doing maintenance on there site. I had ordered a similar 3 mode one from KD but it's came as a five mode and the others have a different micro controller didn't fit or don't pull enough amps or are 5 mode.
Your light got here first so you got it, others will have to wait. Kumabear got another awesome driver a different one but also with thermal management and low voltage warning for his Skyray Triple X, he is also super happy.
I swear, almost every light I get from IO is under driven. I just got the TC6 today. They give you a choice of 2.5 amps (black) or 2 amps. (grey) Mine pulls .90 so, with 2 x 18650 that 1.80?
I still really like it but it ain't 2.5 amps. Drew even less with protected cells.
As promised; here are some beam shot comparisons. All I have to compare is the beam shot I took 3-11-12. They are not positioned/aimed exactly the same but I think the difference is rather obvious.
Beam shot taken 3-11-12 with original 2.30 amp driver. (2 x King Kong 26650) Taken with my old Canon Power Shot SX20 IS, 1/4 second @ f2.8.
Beam shot taken tonight (4-14-12) with 2.80 amp driver. Taken with my new Canon Power Shot SX40 HS, 1/4 second @ f2.7.
Old driver on the left, new on the right.
I'm sorry about all the variables. Maybe I need to do it again using my old camera. Apparently, my new camera has a wider begining zoom. I swear that placement is within a few inches of each other, I just had the tripod set a little higher. These look so different I had to go back and make sure the old beam shot really was the JM05. Why did the beam pattern change so much?
Thanks Foy. It is a bit odd about the beam pattern changing though. Has Foy developed the ability to change light rays? Scary. Can you fit protected 18650 batteries in your tourch and do the end cap up fully?
I don't have any protected 26650s but two protected Solarforce 18650s (with the sleeves) are a snug fit. It feels like I might break something if I tighten it all the way.
