Ok, I need to get started on mine but (embarrassing as it is) I don’t remember where to post it!
I’ve gathered materials after sitting down and drawing a napkin sketch, so I pretty much know what I’m going to do just haven’t started yet… be doing good to remember where I left the lathe.
My entry is listed now… <>

PRESENTATION
Hi BLF!
So… I don’t have the skills and / or tools to enter the categories “Machine Made” or the “Hand Made” lights in this year’s Old Lumens Flashlight Modders & Builders Challenge 2019 .
But, as this year’s competition has a “Modified Light Category”, I decided that I will enter and (try) do something!
If everything goes well, by the end of the deadline I should be able to present a modified flashlight.
I don’t foresee an extreme mod (don’t expect…
Cheers and good buildings/ modding everyone
Subscribed and generally read (very diagonal…) all the building /modding threads!
Great ideias, great skills everyone! In the impossibility to keep track on each and every thread, I hereby compliment you all for the ideas and work done so far
@ pinkpanda, great “small” build you have there! Impressive gorgeous light

update 2020/02/29:
Instead of finishing my stucked contest entry , I decided to mod a flashlight that I wanted to do since long time ago and hopefully I can enter this into the contest.
The idea was to build a personalised flashlight out of cheapo flashlight hosts.
Day One
This is a Yupard C3 stainless steel from Aliexpress. I wanted to make it into stone wash finish but ended up became a rustic look flashlight.

Now remove all the components inside and do something with the host.

Question…
With an entry in the machine made category would it be a problem if I ALSO made a thread in the modified light category?
I have something in mind that would be appropriate there…
