Interesting, that may very well be why they are blowing them out at that price. :+1:
Fortunately for me I got a lifetime supply when they started the blowout.
Oh, that would be REALLY sad if this light has been discontinued. I have one (wish I had bought more now! definitely one of my favorites)
I have recently been thinking that it is the perfect flashlight for someone who appreciates the power and ease of use, with the safety and simplicity of 4xAA power source (no “special” batteries or chargers needed) - went to look for one and cannot find one at the usual outlets I shop for lights at (BG, GB). Of course if I wanted to pay LIST price or near that, one can still be had, and, dang it, I am almost thinking about doing that…
I am very impressed with the power, beam and carry feel of this light - it just fits in my hand so nice, and to get 1000 lumens (or even near that - I have not measured) from AA cells is a terrific thing - this light is bright and throws well! and on the lower power settings is very usable for a “lookin-around-the-house” light.
I am (re) subscribing to this thread in the hopes that someone comes across news of the EA45s becoming available again somewhere. Or, hey! Maybe Nitecore has a newer, BETTER 4-AA in the EA45s format coming down the pipeline in the near future! THAT would be sweet!
Can anyone advise if they have had the same issue in the pictures attached with the nitecore EA45S? The cap no longer fits properly and is now in two pieces and my batteries are now stuck inside.
Dang…. :person_facepalming:
Looks like that should be covered under warranty…… if that option makes $$$ sense… Probably depends on where you live & bought it from.
Very little parasitic drain…… go back to post 45 or 50. Somewhere around there I posted several times about it.
Anyone notice this weird thing with ea45s. I’ll have it out and the first set of eneloops will run long as expected then when they die I’ll toss in a fresh set real quick but they only seem to last about 1/4 the time they should. Happened at least twice and the second set takes long to recharge like they are depleted. Gonna pay better attention and see what’s up.
My batts don’t seem to last long in My rarely used EA45– but honestly I’m thinking
that I may be attempting to turn it off But actually leaving it in Low mode….?
