NVM. I received it two days ago. I guess shipping from Russia is the same as from China but takes even longer Oh well, the lights are good. I will post some results later.
Thank you fnksb. That was awesome of you. I ordered a Falcon F15 yesterday. I’m still not sure if the discounts end at midnight St.PB time or what, so I ordered a day early to make sure.
I hope this one comes as quickly as my Panda 2M-CRI. That was super fast, 11 days door to door.
It was dispatched on day 2 and was in my hands on day 11. It spent the first 3 days enjoying a tour of post office “local distribution centres” in St.Petersburg where it visited no less than 4 of them, plus the post office it was dropped off at.
It was in Russian customs for about 27 hours, it left Russia the next day and was handed over to UK customs a day later.
It was in UK customs (GBLALA) for only 16 hours which was a pleasant surprise and it was in my hands a day later.
Russia Post (pochta.ru) tracking was very good and it tracked the whole way.
Read the tracking from the bottom up.

Double thumbs up for YLPs packaging department. The customs declaration was marked “Gift” and the value was declared as 300 rubles. That’s about $5 / £4 / €4, therefore way under the £15 threshold for UK tax.
This was a big factor in me deciding to order again.
Thanks again fnksb and a big thanks to YLP for the discounts.
Measured these with the Texas Ace Lumen Tube calibrated with Maukka lights and the Sekonic C-800-U Spectrometer. Lumens taken at 2 seconds.

I'm surprised how nice the tint is coming from cheap low cri emitters. The negative DUV gives it a nice rosy tint
The battery that came with the YLP F20 is rated at 3500mah and described as NCR18650GA. However, of the dozens of NCR18650GA I measured, none measured this low. 3,310mah may be from a lower grade batch of the cell but either way I have tons of 18650.
The battery that came with the G18 is rated at 2600mah and I measured 2622mah.
Thanks for sharing. I did not know the Falcon FH5 has a CRI80+ emitter (despite the low R9). Now I know why I quite like it compared to other low cri CREE 5D or 5A tints.
I've been waiting for the Panda 2M CRI's to return to stock since I bought my first one last year. Want to order two more. It's a great head light.
My first one has a three-strap headband.
Does the headband still include the top over-the-head strap? I don't see it in the pics on the YLP site, only the main strap that goes around the wearer's head.
I’d like to buy a Unicorn 1.0, but they are currently showing out of stock. Hopefully it will be restocked? I also hope at least the 10% discount code will still be valid.
If anyone has one they want to sell please pm, thanks.
YLP-store hadn’t been working for a week (because of lockdown). Since today they started working and you can order the flashlights. But delivery can take a little longer than usually.
Yes I just checked it shows in stock now, thanks fnksb for the update!
Now I need to find and try some coupon codes, I remember seeing one for 15% somewhere in another thread.
So if I read your timeline correctly, you ordered on 3/14, and received your package on 4/25?
I put in an order on 3/17 when the Panda 2M CRI showed in stock. Then it showed out of stock, and then they went through the shutdown described above. I guess I should be more patient, especially given the times, but I haven’t received a response to several emails I’ve sent, and there’s been no confirmation or shipping notice (apart from the original PayPal receipt).
Maybe it will just show up in the next couple of days, but was this the communication pattern for you too?
First one was order confirmation, second one was a day or two later with tracking#.
Note that the YLP emails went to a junk folder instead of my inbox. Hotmail has gone completely whacked-out for months now, misdirecting desired & legit email into junk, spam or deleted folders, no matter how many rules I make. Check your spam/junk etc. folders.
Monitoring 17track showed the package in Russia for some days, then it disappeared entirely for a couple of weeks before reappearing in NY under the care of USPS. That was pretty much the same as I saw on my first order in late 2019.
Perhaps also contact member fnksb. He seems to have an inside track to YLP.
Ah! I’m disappointed in myself; I should have known to check spam. You’re absolutely right, there was a Russian language confirmation and then a shipping notice. My package was shipped on 3/18 and ‘Released from Russia’ on 3/24. So YLP did everything right, and I need to return to my remedial international purchasing 101 studies.
Thanks for helping me out with my blind spot. Hopefully it will turn up in the USPS tracking system soon.
