$4,000.00 on a heater for the pool this month . $150 bucks on flashlights and batteries I don’t need. $385.00 for someone to come and patch a leak in the pool or the heater will useless.
I’m left out of work until August (when schools re-open) and no income expected until then, so we have to mind our pennies. Other than food and utilities, the only extra we’ve spent was $17 for a new electric can opener to replace a hand-crank opener that bent and no longer works well.
I do keep my job (teaching assistent in a school) so I guess my income will be ok for the moment. Still I have no idea how this crisis will pan out in the longterm. Will I need my money and better save up plenty, or will its value fade and should I spent it as I do normally. I have no knowledge of economics so for me time will tell.
I do spend less money than normally though, being at home most of the time with the family is not very expensive.
As i’m used to eat out noon and evening i’m saving quite a bit on that front. Less gas and expenses on other stuff too… And i didn’t go crazy with online shopping either. What’s wrong with me? lol
I’m out of a job so no money coming in.
Other than extra food (and TP!!!)
I put $550 into a small sine wave generator.
It will run 2 fridges or a hot plate. (If I run out of charcoal for the BBQ).
Let’s hope I never need it.
Keep Safe
All the Best,
Jeff
Less than normal since my wife and I aren’t driving to work anymore. And our auto insurance will be lowering rates for a couple of months. We feel very fortunate to be able to work from home.
The 200 one oz bottles of my wife’s magic dandruff shampoo arrived today from Florida. At least half of the flipopen caps were popped up. Actually not very much spillage, butt still a mess. Maybe airplane altitude pressure change or trucking over the Rockies?
She’s satisfied which makes me satisfied.
Excluding food, other necessities, or paper towels and toilet paper that can only be found in expensive smaller sizes now… I’ve spent a little on “fun”.
~ $45 on the new Civivi Exarch
~ $40 on an S2+ and a C8+
TBD - batteries and a charger for my first foray into the world of 18650 flashlights
$65 - I just ordered the newest watch from Bertucci. Their canvas bands are amazingly comfortable. I’d already swapped out the nylon for them on my other DX3 watches. Now they’ve finally got some watches coming stock with them. Check out the classy new brown case!
