I was unsuccessful in preordering this item, when I tried five hours ago, ten minutes after freeme posted "Deal is Alive". I did not have the top secret code at that time, and when I logged onto my BG account, there was no place for me to enter the public code that is posted on the first post of this thread, nor was there a place for me to enter my payment information. In my BG account, "Your order" tab does not show this item. Now, when I log into my BG account, the Preorder button is greyed out, so I am locked out of this deal.
What kind of 21700 battery it takes,so as to fit? Also, why they don’t sell all the batteries together with the light,so as to be possible to deliver batteries? You see, that it is not possible to deliver lithium batteries to some Countries.
Is it just me or do the pictures on BG make it look like the reflector is slightly orange-peel textured? I must not be seeing it correctly, for a light like this.
7500 lumens rating is pushing it. Maybe it's a higher bin? In djozz's test, his limit was 20 amps, but I don't see the LED peaking much above 5500 lumens at the max.
Yeah, Texas_Ace says the SBT-90.2 in the GT90 (uses similar FET driver and 8 x 18650 cells) maxes out at a bit over 5000 lumen. Lumintop also did an exaggerated lumen spec of 7000. I guess it’s just marketing.
I'd add a 10-15% for bump from our calibrated lumens to "manufacturer's" lumens. But still interesting a higher bin SBT90.2 should go from 5,000 to 7,074 based on scaling up the bin from SA to UB. SA to UB should increase lumens by 41.47%.
7500 lumens is exaggerated. So far, Hank sourced the highest bin of the SBT90.2 I’ve seen, which is still the 3rd lowest bin and doesn’t even make 5,000 lumens in a host without de-lidding. I don’t believe any bin above that is available on the market.
