I’d like to challenge it. Where are more candelas? In hotspot of Manker E05 or MicroGT? First has smaller led die area, the latter has larger reflector.
I”m really curious.
the light you are suggesting requires 14500, and it has a Large Head
both things the OP said he does not want
why do people ignore the request, and suggest things that are exactly NOT what is being asked for?
thats a bit disrespectful to the OP, and amounts to hijacking, especially when you add more posts to challenge the valid contribution by mascaratum, with an invalid suggestion that ignores the Original Posted Request.
Yep, you’re right in terms of the original question. A humble apologies.
My challenge popped up after watching attached d_t_a movie and is addressed there.
Again, huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.
I have a manker T01. It uses 14500 or ni-mh. jon slider mistakenly said they can’t use AA. They are not available anymore. Throws better than gt nano but not as good as gt micro.
Wanting a 1xAA thrower with a small head and NiMh only is a bit like asking for a tiny small city car, that must seat 5 in comfort with a huge boot (ok, trunk…. )
Yes, indeed, I realize that my requirements aren’t exactly ideal for maximizing throw. Nevertheless, they are my requirements. (And as for the car, my Subaru Impreza hatchback comes pretty close, although the person in the back middle might have a small argument!)
Looks interesting but too rich for my blood. I’ve been out of the “flashlight game” for a few years and it seems that during that time Eagletacs have gotten pricey in general.
The Klarus Mi7 (XPL-Hi) doesn't throw as well as the Manker E05... I think the Mi7 doesn't beat the Sofirn SP10B in terms of throw, although the Mi7 has a slimmer body/head than the Sofirn SP10B
left: Klarus Mi7 (XPL-Hi)
right: Manker E05 (Osram NM1)
here is comparison of Sofirn SF14 (XP-G2) vs the Klarus Mi7 (XPL-Hi)
(the SF14 and SP10B are very close in performance and beam pattern/throw, one uses a tail-switch while the other uses a side switch, both can use AA/14500)
side comment: I feel that the Klarus Mi7's claimed "700" lumens is exaggerated a bit compared to the "600" lumens claim of the Sofirn SP10B (573 lumens) or SF14 (600 lumens).
Thanks for the info. and additional videos—-very helpful.
I’ve made an offer on a Manker E05—-waiting on a response. If that doesn’t work out, I saw where Manker had a great Black Friday coupon in 2018 (30% off!): Mankerlight - Black Friday Coupon 30% off for all Manker items at www.mankerlight.com But I didn’t see that there was one in 2019, so maybe the chances for a repeat this year are slim. Oh well, hope springs eternal….
