*Closed* Would people be interested in buying some lights? EDIT: Ok, Thanks Everyone..Shutting this down.

Sale Closed, thank you very much to all that participated. I am in the process of boxing up all the lights, some are already out and I’ll try to get those tracking numbers to you shortly. The rest I should have by tomorrow and I’ll get those to you then. Again thanks for your participation, it’s been a hectic couple of days! Smile

I have had a few life curveballs in the last year or so and just haven’t stayed with flashlights like I used to, haven’t been on the forum much at all. Deaths in the family can really change perspectives. I have way too many flashlights. WAY too many. All sitting with cells in em ready to be used. Most modded. Quite a few smaller lights, a few bigger ones. Most not particularly earth moving but all doing more than their stock counterparts.

If I were to go to the trouble of charging and measuring output on 40-50 lights and offer em up here at attractive prices, would y’all buy em?

I ask first because I know it will be a hard days work and I know it will be a pita, hip has been trying to go out on me and nothing is as easy as it used to be. I should have original boxes with accompanying papers and spare parts on virtually everything, getting to these and finding em all may not prove easy. Lol I’ll sell em with the cell that’s in em, always a high end name brand cell as I was always trying to get the most out of a light.

I’ll sell cheap but won’t be able to pay shipping doing that, so there will be that extra on top if what I ask for the light. I think the included cell will offset shipping though, yes?

Whatchathink? Go or no go?

Obviously I still talk too much…

EDIT: Saturday, Halloween! Thanks folks, Happy Halloween! Be safe out there! Wish I’d have thought of this a week ago so y’all could use your lights tonight, always behind anymore…

Might ought to point out that International shipping is expensive these days so unless a larger light was being bought at a substantial savings then shipping outside of the US will probably be cost prohibitive.

If someone wanted more than one they’d ship in a larger box and I could make some allowance probably on a multi-light purchase.

Does a Polar bear chit in the snow? i’d bet they would sell on a flashlight forum if it’s not too painful for you to get around.

This would be a great opportunity for new members to pick up some great lights at a great price without having to deal with the chinese shipping time!
I say go!

Wow!

Over 20,000 posts so far.

...

On topic, I do believe your lights will sell, especially if they are priced well, even if you have to add in shipping.

I'm sure there are plenty of people in the U.S. that would be happy to take them off your hands.

(International shipping might kill the deal, as you pointed out.)

Good luck in your (hopefully) upcoming sale!  :THUMBS-UP:

I am interested in a list. Maybe make the list and test the lights based on who wants what. Might cut down on your work load a little.

I am also not interested in the measurement of every single lumen that come out, a round about figure would work for me.

is there a way for you to inquire about shipping to canada and how much it would be? i would like to know the shipping fees beforehand to take into account for the price of the light, so there are no surprises

Do yourself a couple favors;

Screw measuring every flashlight, members here pretty much know what the stock version does and you are just saying it is better than that on most.
Sell in groups, less photo time, easier for you to pack.
Maybe groups of throwers, EDC’s , etc. Whatever makes sense to you.

As far as boxes, leave that to a “if I find it you get it” otherwise consider you are just buying the lights.

Know from experience, taking pics, uploading, adding descriptions, conditions, tints etc. takes major time.
When the deals are good and coming from a well respected veteran of this forum, you have what is needed for most serious buyers to pull the trigger.

I’ll probably be one of them:)
Thanks!

Or just have a minimum order size so that people can pick what they want and you don't have to deal with a small order.  :-)

Hi Dale. Sorry to hear of your life’s twists and turns. I hope things settle for you.

I’d be interested in jewellery type lights (e.g. sinner etc.. Wink ) if we can work a deal with the shipping

Good to see you Dale! I’ve noticed your absence. And I’m sorry to know about the bad things, I hope you are holding on in the best way possible!

As for the lights, I guess you won’t have problem getting them sold. I won’t be in, shipping and customs would kill the deals, but people near from you will surely grab some Wink

Keep strong Thumbs Up

Something like this mess of lights, I’ll do better listing them of course…

Edit: Here’s the list of what these are, from left bottom to top…

Probably $10 to $30, might be one or two in this bunch that’d be over $30 but maybe not. Still have 160 on the shelves…

I will charge cells and test lumens if for no other reason than to insure they work properly. Some of them are surprises, with 50.2 emitters both 6V and 3V , virtually all are modded with emitter swapouts for tint and/or power. Sliced and diced in many as well, with the one extremely oddball put together with various bits of several lights . D)

I dare say this would be one of the fastest sales in BLF history! Shame the shipping cost would be prohibitive for me. That modded C8 looks awfully interesting! As do a few others!

Hey Dale. Sorry to hear about your health issues! You’ve been a rockstar on this forum and I’m always happy to read your comments. The first thing that came to my mind was that I’d be willing to throw you 80-100$ and my address and you could surprise me lol. I would probably give you a list of what I have and maybe you could help me fill in the gaps. Just a thought. You’ll be in my thoughts.

Dustin

I’d be interested in that BLF-348, the one above it, and the AA lights.

DB – I’m sorry to hear about your losses. There’s never a good time for any death. We’re all going there. Be strong man.

Lights? yeah, kind of little importance when you speak of this way. I’d be happy to own one, but I doubt you send outside US.
Take care, bro!

Good to see you back. Though you were never that far away.
I think it is a good idea to say goodbye to things you don’t have the time for to enjoy them
And I think there are more than a few members waiting for a light they once missed.
Or with the power they wished it would have, but did not have the skills to do it themselves.
Anyway, I saw quite a few classics. And all upgraded by you, that makes them special.
And at reasonable prices too!!

You are correct in thinking that shipping cost outside the US is prohibitive.
To compensate for shipping cost with batteries does not work either outside the US.
Unless you are a professional seller, shipping batteries cost more than the batteries themselves.
I won’t join you in this first sale. But I surely hope you will make a lot of members smile.

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

Hi Dale
I hope things work out for you.
I would be interested in small to medium throwers with osram led’s. Also a modified Q8 or 2 is also needed. throwers like gt micro, mini and emisar D1s .

Hope things get better!
