oh ya, no adaptor is definitely cheaper, but i dont think thats a viable option for most people, the adaptor may not be proprietary, but its also not just a micro usb cable that people have extras lying around. at least i know i dont
Ah, ok. I was looking at a Baofeng handheld on Banggood yesterday and the US plug version was $38 more expensive. It may have cost more due to stock being in the US. AU plug was cheaper for Australia. Or just a pricing stuff up…
It may be worth asking Vapcell on AE or FB what price they can do.
I got the S4+ a few months ago. The power adapter makes a noise. I’d get an adapter from a local electronics store instead if I didn’t have the one that the S4+ came with. The noise isn’t too annoying.
11.11 has mostly ended for some online stores… While looking around at some stores, I notice that Liitokala has a couple (possibly more, but I only noted these 2) of new models: Lii-600 and Lii-S8.
a) Lii-S8 is an 8-bay charger (+ 9v slot), up to 8x 1A or 4x 2A charging. It doesn’t mention ‘auto-polarity detection’ anymore though, which was a prominently-mentioned feature for the Lii-S1/S2/S4/S6 wherein batteries can be placed ‘upside-down’ and the charger will charge correctly.
I wonder how well the Lii-S8 will work (currently, my preferred 8-bay charger is the Miboxer C8)
b) Lii-600, this appears to be an update to the Lii-500 Engr and Lii-500S. Apparently this new Lii-600 has the features of the previous Lii-500/500S, and with some improvements: 4x 3A charging, more charging current (0.25/0.5/1A/1.5/2A/3A), and also restore the internal resistance display — hopefully they get the resistance reading more correctly this time (Lii-500 Engr’s mR resistance reading is inconsistent), the Lii-600 restored the lower charge current of 0.25A (which was missing in the Lii-500S which has a lowest charge current of 0.5A only). And the specs now mention discharge current of 0.75A (in all 4 slots?)
Oh, the Lii-600 looks very interesting! I skipped the Lii-500S since its termination voltage seemed consistently higher than ideal.
I’ll definitely be watching out for reviews of it, since it looks like a nice update over my Lii-500! And finally, the included power supply isn’t a wall wart…
