Just because, I had to measure the charge current on the solar charged security light
Charges at 0.25A, so like the manual says, even if its fully depleted a good day of sun will get you mostly charged back up again. And you would have to run it for a couple hours for it to get depleted. If the battery doesn’t go belly up, and it doesn’t leak, then this should last forever. When the cell dies, just pop in another.
Oh, I started to take one of the light housings apart, and one of the screws wouldn’t back out. So I put it back together and noticed two of the screws seem stripped. So this could be a source of the leaks that were reported in the reviews. It looks fine, and I’m guessing it will be fine, but that may be the weak point.
Thrunite TH01 headlamp (35% coupon) and the T1 as seen above (25%) are both about 30 USD right now with the clickable coupon. The Wowtac 16340 versions of these are the h01 and the W1.
The Thrunites offer more capacity (18350 vs 16340), higher output and regulation, longer runtimes with more efficient drivers and XHP50 vs XP G2 emitter, and ramping UI.
I bought a Wowtac as a gift, but for myself I like nice flat regulation so I would choose the Thrunite for myself. You get what you pay for here and I think either the Wowtac or the Thrunite are decent kits for the price.
This was fairly easy to assembly, seems all metal (except maybe the flexible part) and is very intuitive. I figured out how to turn on, up, down, change the color, in about 15 seconds without the manual. Nice light.
It’s really good flashlight. I have the same one from different brand, Modoao. My first 18650 flashlight - MODOAO LED Tactical USB Chargeable Flashlight
It’s a thrower with bright center but decent spill as well.
I compared it with Convoy S2+ and it’s brighter than the S2+ so their 1200 lumens claim is not exaggerated.
I don’t have rifle to test how it works mounted on a firearm but works fine for home use.
I don’t have any other thrower. Hopefully, I’ll get C8 or something later to compare.
