The PLB 26650 that Sofirn stocks is very decent. Continuous discharge is 10A but I ran a 20A test and it performed incredibly well. Last test graph on sofirnlight.com is mine.
Thanks for the info. I’ll most likely go with one Samsung 40T and one Vapcell G53 (5300 mAh 20A 26650) for more run-time.
It’s unfortunate that we have to wait over a month for the orders to be shipped out. I don’t mind waiting and I’ve waited as long as a month and a half in the past. But I didn’t know it would be that long. I figured they already started the manufacturing and assembly process.
This is normal for Banggood. Everyone who orders from Banggood needs to know that they cannot trust Banggoods claims that any product is in stock, when it will be in stock, when it will ship, that it has shipped, or when it will arrive.
There are many posts on this forum about Banggoods sales tactics and lack of ethics. They have popular products and good prices, but are absolutely not a reliable vendor.
Sst40’s have a real low vf and will easily pull 8A when driven hard on an fet. The Ft02s has a an fet driver so it will largely be limited only by the thermal control on the driver and battery. The xhp50.2 3V has a low vf also, and easily pulls 13A or more when direct driven. This light will pull some serious current in either configuration. A 25A capable cell is recommended for max output- asung 30T, 40T, or Molicell P42A 21700.
Ok, I had a brain fart.
I see I need to also order batteries. I have the XPH5.0 11k lumen
What would the best battery be for max output and run time? Also how many do i need?
Any recommendations of where to get them?
