WTB FW3A 18650 tube

Does anyone happen to have an FW3A 18650 (yes 18650) body laying around? I have a mod-fodder FW3A that I got with 18350 and 18500 tubes, but no 18650 tube, and I’d gladly purchase yours. Send me a PM if so!

Bump. Still looking for one. I bought one from Lumintop but it didn’t come with the inner tube, so still SOL. I would also buy just an inner tube if anyone has one.

Check with Jarod of JC Customs, he sells a bunch of FWXX lights with the 18350 tubes so he might have spare 18650 tubes around.

Took the tube out of mine just to see how possible it would be to find a random tube, but it’s not even a straight tube. Has a ridge and an o-ring on one end. Shucks.

The ridge and o-ring are on the switch side of the light. If you look in the body on that end there is a relief cut out so the two fit together perfectly. The ends of the inner tube is what makes contact on the head and switch.

You have to know which signal tube will work with your body tube also… the Gen1 FW3A had the thinner signal tube shoulder…

The new signal tubes have a heavier wider stepped shoulder and wouldn’t work with any of my Gen1’s but I used the newer tubes for my NovaTac Mods and also I made Brass signal tubes… out of brass tubing I found on E-Bay..

You can always make yourself a brass or an aluminum signal tube…if you can’t find the right one to fit yours… you don’t need that shoulder just the right amount of length…

That is kind of you to offer, I see you are in the UK though, might be hard to work that out due to shipping costs. I may have one on the way, I will check and make sure the solution works out when it arrives, and if not I can touch base with you.

Bump. After all this, I have struck out and am still looking for a plain grey FW3A 18650 tube (and signal tube). Any condition accepted, with or without clip.

I dont mean this to sound like a joke, but have you reached out to NG? He has the listing for the 18350 / 18500 tubes in gray on his site, maybe he could sell you a 18650? I mean, thats if he responds..
