I received the EA01 today. The 5000K SST-40 version. I measure 1925 lumen on a 26650 battery at 30 seconds so the led is driven well.
I like the beam from this TIR: good size hotspot (so no extreme throw) and dimmer and narrower spill than a reflector light of the same size. So it illuminates well what you point it at and not the grass at your feet, I call that useful
Not sure if this discussed: is the driver a FET+1 design? Or what else is it?
I also just received the EA01 several hours ago. (I got 1 unit EA01 with SST40 5000k and another EA01 with XHP50.2 5700k).
I’m not able to directly measure lumens, but I checked the tailcap current when using an iJoy 4200mAh 26650 (charged to around 4.1v, so nearly full charged)
On the EA01 SST40 5000k, I measured 7.8 Amps tailcap current (UT210E), although this may still not be max power, since it’s not yet fully-charged battery.
However, when I set the EA01 with SST40 to Turbo, I notice the beam turns a bit bluish (from the slightly pinkish color when at Ramp Ceiling level). So this seems to mean the LED is driven a bit too high?
On the EA01 with XHP50.2 set to Turbo, the light works OK.

I’m guessing it’s a FET+1, since on battery-insert, the measured current is around 0.35A (NoPWM),
when I set to Stepped Mode, there is ‘fast PWM’ on all the default 7 brightness levels of Stepped Ramping
Again, also NoPWM when on Turbo mode. So this seems to match behavior of FET+1… (I’m not that well-versed in electronics, but I try to measure tailcap currents of flashlights when I’m first testing each of them)
