I’m just about to launch a new photography website and interested affiliate linking from reviews and articles. I currently have affiliate links with 2 companies, and may add more (possibly Amazon and AliExpress). I’m interested to know which affiliate links have worked well for for people and which haven’t?
I set up affiliate with Aliexpress to see what I could link to, but found that neither Convoy or Vapcell stores do affiliate linking.
Might look at Amazon, but not a fan of the companies ethics.
Most branded stores on aliexpress won’t allow affiliate linking. I spoke to a store owner and they said their products may be used in relation to unwanted email spam.
The links to the Convoy store you frequently see on BLF only look like affiliate links, they are done with the URL shortener but are not affiliate at all. The Convoy products or Simon don’t participate in the AE aliexpress program. Having said that, his products are probably the best in class anyway, no need to advertise them any longer
For larger initiatives I would look at something like cj.com or the Amazon program.
Thanks for the info. I’ve not of CJ Affiliate. I might look at Amazon (though as I mentioned I’m not a fan of the company ethics) and it’s a bit of a pain that they have of stores in different countries, so might require more work in creating links for each country they are based in.
There are modules for websites or blogs that automatically check the region of the visitor and create the right amazon link! no need to use different links. I do not know, however, whether you need different affiliate amazon memberships for that (eg whether you need to sign up for affiliate amz schemes in DE, UK, US, etc)
They have all the tools you need to make money from ClickBank, create high-quality ads, and they add ClickBank products unlike any other tool out there, with full titles and descriptions…
If you have a WordPress site, you can use their normal WordPress Plugin, or the Niche Storefronts plugin (photography maybe?)
Also, Aliexpress frequently bring up “fraudulent transactions” and discount commission on orders frequently. I wouldn’t go with them if you can avoid it.
There is a reason most decent AE stores wouldn’t want to be in their affiliate program.
