I finished up this custom 3D printed thrower build I have been working on for a while, it actually surprised the heck out of me what a little osram chip and a seanna can do:

I got the LED aligned properly with the help of a 3D printed tool and some thermal adhesive so it stays in place once I remove the tool (after letting the glue bond of course)
I used a driver that can be found on amazon and ebay which utilizes the LTC3870 buck boost IC, which worked well. I am however working on my own set of custom drivers with some cool features.
Pretty cool what can be done with fairly inexpensive parts (except the seanna of course), I got this thing fully built in about 4 days including 3D print time, the LED chip itself was about $4 on mouser and I got a MCPCB for it for $1, I reflow soldered the led on to the board and it was ready to go, all that’s left was designing the 3D printed parts and putting it together with the lens, driver, and air cooler.
