That’s what I’m thinking. I ordered some of the paint you posted a while back. This should hold me out until it gets here though.
It’s a green glow gasket from JC Customs, he included one with all the aluminum FWAA he had as preorders. It not that noticeable during the day but at night it glows pretty good.
your Ti light looks fantastic.
as does your glow gasket
I would like a FWAA glow gasket, hopefully Neal will offer one.
Ive messaged JC several times, both using the contact form on his site, and also his posted gmail address. No replies at all. I do not use social media.
I could not get the tail off by hand either
I used tools wrapped in rubber with the light wrapped in leather…
be very careful, the copper scratches and crushes easily, it is soft
there was no glue under the tailcap, no glue under the bezel either.
Im enjoying this under the bezel option for the clip:
the downside is the tip of the clip rides on the rotating body when changing batteries… so extra precaution required…
I just load thru the tail cap, easy peasy… after making the head tight first… I know, contrarian, but there is a madness to my method… lol
I bought the bundle, and with the sapphire lens on top of the glass lens, the clip fits perfectly secure under the bezel…
The clip is still a bit low tension, but it is slightly more secure, and a little bit deeper carry, with the clip under the bezel… the light loads into a pocket very smoothly, thanks to the matching taper of the body flare.
:
To use the clip under the bezel, without a lens gap, I added the sapphire lens on top of the glass lens
then I took the glass back out, leaving the sapphire lens in place, and moved the clip back to the tail, with body reversed (I like this best)… this is today:
but based on your having other warm lights, I think you will probably like having a 3000k option
my reason for avoiding 3000k 219c is twofold… I seldom use my 3000k lights, and I have 219b choices, which make the 219c look yellow by comparison… And Im usually looking for pink tint.
