Xhp50.3 HI in the center does sound like a great idea!

Proper regulation would be a great addition, no more FET direct drive.

So it would be 2S2P battery arrangement if it uses XHP50.3 hi?

any changes of plan, for the dual switch, now that the Anduril tint ramping and instant channel switching firmware is out there (looking at the hank KR4).

Those features aren’t new in Anduril. LT1 & K9.3 have had those for quite awhile. Wurkkos knew that, and still decided to forego Anduril and use this dual switch design instrad, unfortunately.

What is the current status of this? Also does anyone have a ballpark guess where the price would be?

Wurkkos is still working on the circuit/driver design. No estimated date of completion for this yet.

This is a exciting light concept. Can’t wait to see how it develops in 2022.

Almost looks like the bezel plate for the HD15 got reused as the switch plate on this light.

Having thought about the design, I think it would be best usable, if the flood and the throw section have each their own controller and their own Anduril2.
The two buttons could be arranged in a way so both can be pressed at the same time, if needed. So, the user could fire up the LEDs at one time or each segment alone.
The thermal mass has a bit of inertia, so if both controllers are sensing heat from the mass, they each can level off the power as best as possible, without the risk of starting an oscillating system, where one side regulates down while the other picks up the now free dissipation capacity and ramps up, and so on. The thermal mass will act as a damper on this.
