Anyone ever use "Zizo" cases? Their design are quite unique and their cases are really tough. This is the one I use. One time riding the scooter, it flew right off and slid on the road for a good 20' or so! iPhone was all okay. I think it landed and hit the pavement the right way.
I was using a [ZIZO Static Series Built in Kickstand iPhone 7 iPhone 6s Case Red ] + tempered glass screen when I had my bike crash (post 10)
Good case. Don’t find any personal use for the kickstand.
No case needed on my last 4 Kyocera phones. Starting in 2014. They all had a sapphire screen which is pretty much scratch-proof. They have all been waterproof. The current one is rated at 1.5 meters dropping onto concrete. 2 meters under water for 30 minutes. The last 2 you can control the camera and video while under water. The current one is only available on Verizon.
The Static was kinda too smooth for me but that’s a good one too. That’s my pet peeve about this case. The kickstand rod is metal so no problem but the plastic latches the rod sits in at each end are too small and break all the time. :person_facepalming:
I think this is a classic “Easy but not easy.” On one hand it’s nice to be holding a phone without a case. It’s the way the design studio meant it to be. You’re reminded of the tech and design every time one goes to use it. But on the other hand if I drop it, the glass most likely will crack. Plus most phones feel slippery.
Over here in Singapore, new phones usually come with fancy phone cases. Mine is a two-year-old Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which came with a “leather” folder case.
Cases for me are mainly to improve the grip I can have on the phone. I don’t have butter fingers but it gives me confidence.
My screen protector is mainly to prevent the oleophobic coating from disappearing on the screen. Not sure what caused it to disappear on my samsung note 5 but just trying not to repeat that from reoccurring.
Yes and no. Newer phone (Jan 2017) has one of those “wallet” type holders, and both it and the phone still look showroom new.
10bux each, actually got 2 of ’em, figuring the first one would go to The Hell and I could use the second one afterwards. Gnope, still pristine condition.
My poor 12yo Nuron doesn’t have a case, being a candybar phone, so of course looks like bobofett’s helmet. Still works, even though the button-thingies kinda fell off the sides.
I don’t abuse my stuff and tend to baby them, but even in this case (har!), the critter just ends up jostled around, and shiite happens.
Other than sliding off a table onto the carpet, I don’t recall dropping either one, like, ever.
Yea I’ve been buying these Spigen cases like this one. For only $13 it works amazingly well and is a much better buy than any service plan. They don’t add much bulk and have saved my phones from some pretty rough drops onto hardwood floors, concrete, tile, and more. This is my third or fourth case from them now; I check to see if they make a case for a new phone before I buy it.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is just designed to be used with a case, honestly. Screen is popping out, case is making it flat and united.
No glass protection - careful enough.
