【convoy】H4 and B35AM options are updated

Tough choice between this and the GT-FC40 now in the M21B.

Any timeframe when the B35AM will be available in the M21B?

Simon, does the first letter in your product names mean anything? I have a theory:

T: Tiny

S: Small

M: Medium

L: Large

Z: Zoom

H: Headlamp

I cannot figure out what “C” or “BD” might mean though.

“Compact” and “Big Dog”?

I think the C8 predates Convoy. A lot of manufactures make/have made C8s. Convoy didn’t name it.

C8 is a universal flashlight model in the market, and it is also the first model I entered into the flashlight industry. BD is a flashlight with patented charging, but it is currently out of production.

T4, a new member of the T series flashlight, can use 2*AA batteries or 2*14500 batteries, output current 1A (AA batteries) or 3A (14500 batteries), 4 brightness levels

Love the color!

Color is great. But I can’t help but call out the thick bezel restricting reflector size… maybe a good candidate for a TIR?

Simon, what are the reflector dimensions in this T4?

Also, a 2AA w/ 14500 support is really great. I think I’ll have to get one

I can’t understand the point of this. 14500 format compromises power and capacity for compactness. This monstrosity is larger than S2, but has less capacity and power (S2 has drivers up to 5A). Double batteries mean double slot charger must be used. Basic 4 modes UI (i assume with mode memory) makes it dubious choice as a simple giveaway flashlight (at least in my experience, i prefer to disable mod memory and leave 2 modes, or even 100% only). Convoy flashlights were always cheap, sturdy and customisable. But there has been significant progress in the flashlight world, and Convoy continues to rely on its legacy, rather than current achievments. This model would be great 3-4 years ago, but now it is questionable. Sorry for the long rant, I have been a Convoy fan myself for a long time (S2+ was my first li-ion flashlight), but recent models have disappointed me significantly, compared to competitors.

the same reflector as S2+ , the TIR lens can be installed directly

Some people want/need slim vs powerful. That’s why even 2×AAA lights still exist. That’s why the 2×AA Mag is still hanging on after a brazillion years.

And quite frankly, the 2×AA format gives better “grip” than a 1×AA format. Slip it into a jacket’s breast-pocket, and it’s readily available. I used to keep one in the inside pocket of my winter jacket. Perfect size to have just the tailcap flush with the zipper. An 18650 tubelight would require me to reach into the pocket with 2 fingers to fish it out.

It can run on AA battery ,too,AA batteries are easy to buy. This model is just to meet the needs of some users, but not everyone. As for new products, the design time will be longer, but it never stops.

I have a lot of customers in New Zealand who prefer AA battery flashlights. I can gift one to anybody, young and old, and I don’t need to worry about the dangers of lithium cells to those unfamiliar. Plus they’re great for storing in the car, you can’t do that so much with lithium rechargeables, and lithium primaries are expensive.

I hope the competitors are the same price, build quality, and customization that Convoy offer though, oh and no glue.

I disagree, Convoy have been doing so much for the community, Simon has been designing models from ideas that we share, not many manufacturers listen to the extent Simon does.

Looks good Simon… I’ll buy two of them as soon as available. Perfect for the cottage. 2 x AA is a no brainer for rechargeable challenged guests that visit. Hopefully a simple UI too

T4 look nice.

any chance with other colours on production?

two colors ,gray and orange

due colori, grigio e arancio

I want an orange one as soon as it's available ...

I personally don’t like the knurling design, but I agree, 2xAA are readily available, not dangerous for “normal people”
2x14500 is less useful than over li-ions, BUT share AA form factor which is a big thing…
In fact, I don’t like 14500 and 10440 BUT I always use them for EDC, because I know I can swap them with AAA/AA as a fallback if needed

I’m about to get the T2 UV for a friend, along with 14500 and charger, but he will be able to use AA instead if needed

I assume it’ll be 4 modes with memory. I wish there was a memory toggle on the 4 mode drivers.
