Niwalker ES3 03/28 New head release (SFT 40) 05/04 (new video beamshot SFT 40 head)

I think I make huge mistake
Seem be built in 21700 cell.
Notre clearly say in website but other ES série have 21700 buy option ES3 no…
Banggood no more juste 21700 include/integrated usb-c rechargeable but notre sur its because new cell shipping policy
No reason do that on other ES they sell Samsung 40t…
I go cry in bed and waiting for answer, hug.

I’d be really surprised if it’s not replaceable. The tailcap sure looks like it can be unscrewed.

Yeah I agree with you, tail cap look seem replaceable.
Now I’ve doubt for some reason.
Banggood say rechargeable type C but at the end
Package included:

1 x Niwalker ES3 Triple Heads 21700 Flashlight

1 x 21700 Battery (built-in)

Wow Thank a lot guy
Visibly my broswer don’t find this website

They answer me to skype
Unfortunatly ES2 head no comptability.
21700 4000 Mah give away from order probably 40t
I ask for XPL HI they tell me Osram nm1 white Coming soon, not bad

Interesting light. Funny that it comes for $80 for three heads and a battery. But extra heads are between $15 and $30 EACH.

Would have been more of interest to me if there was a reasonably priced package with all the available heads. Otherwise becomes a very expensive light in a hurry.

Really like the format/design/concept and the desert tan colour though.

Yes head part are expensive.
Compare to ES2 75 USD body with x3 Seoul UV led, x3 XPL HI and no cell ES3 is better deal
For ES2 that was 15-25 USD x3 LED depending brand and 9 USD for single CREE XPL HI/HD.

Don’t know for ES3 but ES2 is claim with 5 year warranty on the box

What kind of driver does it use? Buck hopefully?

Shipped today

The good point if they are reactiv on Skype, bad point nothing on our account in their website, no notification, nothing.

1lumen make rewiew of ES2
Interesting, never read before, i’m agree with their issu (Oring ring cut off) and conclusion, exept 3 star total note.
Just I’m surprise on the lumen test only 590 for single XPL-HD, not my favorite LED on this light I need to retry later but nothing had shocked me during these uses.
Not real output claim, ok but for this tall and light the princip is to mix different beam and not breach the limit.
beyond the numbers I consider the lamps first of all as dishes, if a dish is good have not necessarily know what is in it.
On this case ES2 is great meal  probably 2500-3000 lumen with one 3 XPL-HI and one 1 XPL-HI but fine, great bubble of light to see all around 30-40 meter)
I am not against hardware or physical limitations volontary or not, I use inside Samsung 50E and i’m satisfied. 5000 lumen or over on this light tall/design is useless for me.
No LVP protection warning, I’m a big boy, similar “reduce/simple” Anduril UI 3 click from off after 20-30 minute use for check lvl

Niwalker ES3 - YouTube
I’m still excited to receive her.
I’m really think ES3 is upgrade to ES2, I’ll keep you informed and if it’s shit I’ll tell you too :innocent: I want Niwalker upgrade ES serie (and website >_<), don’t make shit.

I’ve found used camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ82 not especially better in night condition (for shoot light  ) but visibly it’s in very low luminosity I didn’t plan to compare moonlight/low level for the moment, I also have AI software to try remove a possible digital noise) it should happen tomorrow (I have a doubt) seem good for a start with reasonable price, I project first use to it make video and pics for compare ES2 on my other single cell cool white light Nitecore TM9K/P20iX, Astrolux EC01/03 (50.2) and Wildtrail WT1M (50.2) NSXE (SFS80 LED) .

I wish I could do it by Sunday

I do my first try night shot and i don’t clearly remember what is the LED for each pics :person_facepalming:

One think is to be a pics of the light before the shot
After many reflexion i’m pretty sur for the light add to shot

Niwalker 3 XPL-HI + 1 XPL-HI (cool white)

Astrolux EC03 XHP 50.2 (cool white)

Nitecore P20iX

Convoy M21B GT-FC 40 5000-5500K

Convoy M21B GT-FC 40 4000-4500k

Astrolux MF01 Mini SST-20 4000k

My first try , you can give your opinions here for the moment
I’ve do video with more mixed results, need time to enhanced and adjust by software
I open soon a topic for my Try/evolution pics and video nightshot

I had the mixed 9 colors glow gaskets, you may match the colors before and after glow.

I kinda disappointed when I recieved them, some of the colors didnt match with the naming of it.
The most “near red” is the middle-bottom one. That match the color of Convoy’s Orange-tail switch LEDs. No actual red glow gasket from Niwalker, I guess.
Right-bottom gasket’s glow is like liiight orange/warm white.

I wanted to find out some answers about ES3 from Niwalker website , contacted them on Skype, Wechat, by email, and by filling out the online form.

No response anywhere.

Maybe someone here can help? below are my questions:

1. Does the Osram Pusra emitters have the best throw distance among the offered emitters?? What is the throw distance of 1 head with 3 Osram emitters? How many lumens is one head with Osram ?
2. What is the throw distance of 2 heads with Osram pusra emitters when installed together?
3. What is the throw distance of 3 heads of Osram emitters installed together ?
4. If I buy the the light with 3 heads of XPL hi emitters plus 2 spare heads with Osram emitters, can I interchange them myself at a later time? Won’t there be any issues with the drivers if I interchange different emitters heads, shouldn’t they use different drivers?

thanks!
Mike

1. Not exactly sure, Although I do have other Niwalker lights with the Osram Pusra and its a domed emitter so its not going to give throw like the W1 and W2
2. Not sure
3. Not sure
4. Yes they are all interchangeable, the driver is inside the removable part.

Thanks. Good to know they are interchangeable.
Even the domed emitters can have a good throw. It would be great to find out what it is.

@Cloud check out the specs on the Niwalker ETMini V2 it has the same emitter in the single side.

I did, thank you. It seems like it’s not very throwy. I thought ES3 would be a potential combination or option of flood and throw , but now it seems like even with 3 heads ( 9 Pursra emitters) it may not throw too far…

Yeah, this separate 3 head design is not going to be a major thrower. Some modest throwing with lots of spill.

I’ve got an ET mini V2 and find it to be a very well made flashlight. I like the UI. Fit & finish is excellent. Good on-board charging. The interchangeable heads is a novel idea. But for use cases… I’d tend to think they’re very specific. If modular heads were a little more reasonably priced, I’d be tempted for the uniqueness of this.

Yes exactly, I too was somewhat tempted with the interesting idea of changing heads, but the practicality of this is questionable. And since they don’t allow an option is switching from flood to good throw, it is probably better/ faster / possibly cheaper to use 2 specialized lights with better beam profiles. Although it’s just my speculation, since I don’t own one. Never liked the niwalker lights from looking at their specs, never made my sense to me, thought this one would finally be different, Jt I guess not.
I will look into getting the et mini 2 though. Thanks

Niwalker does have a few reflector modules, but given the size, they won’t be throwing all that far. Having all 3 sockets with them would just spread the spill, not extend the range. But it’s really cool to see all of the options. With Hank’s dual channel and tint ramping, I’d rather go that route for flexibility on tints. Cheaper too.

The ET Mini V1 was on sale for just $20, with battery. That’s a good deal. I wish the ET2 Mini V2 would get a similar discount, like $25. I’d probably get another. I’ve got a black one that I bought early on when Niwalker had a really good sale (Review LINK). I admit I don’t use it a lot, but I sometimes take it on walks with me to play with it. The combined 3000k + 6000k is a nicely balanced tint.
