False Sayings

Neither, but I do get in more arguments on BLF than most.

I swear that I don't enjoy it, though.

I didn't know that either.

I've only been following politics closely for less than a decade, and I thought that "Reaganomics" and "trickle down economics" were synonyms for each other without a difference between them.

...

"You can't teach an old raccoon new tricks."

What are sports, if they’re not heated, physical arguments over which team/athlete is superior?

Michelle Myers?

They are not!! Go to Hell!!!:clown_face::clown_face:

Or, as Mr. Garrison would say...

You go to hell and you die!

(As if that's the proper order.)

Getting old is Fun…… enjoy your ‘Golden years’

I guess its better than the alternative……

I'd rather be really old than dead, but that's assuming I'm reasonably healthy and not suffering.

Heck, I'm 46 years old, and on most days I feel like I'm a teenager.

I'm more mature than when I was a teenager, but I don't feel like I'm middle-aged most of the time.

On topic...

"When you 'assume', you make an a$$ out of u and me."

I think this saying is sometimes true and sometimes not.

I actually avoid using the word assume most of the time because of this popular saying/belief.

@RC……. 46? I have underwear that old! Fwiw I still felt like a teenager at 46 too (almost 20y ago). Believe me, the * ‘Best’ is yet to come. :person_facepalming:

I'm not a violent person, but I like horror movies and I have a dark sense of humor...

Imagine a TV drama (like Dexter) about a serial killer dating another serial killer.

Oh, the hijinks they'd get into!

“That’s what she said”

This is 6 inches.

"Just the tip."

"Don't worry, babe. It happens to everyone."

The answer to “does this make me look fat?”

By the way, do not say this:

"No, but your fat a$$ sure does!"

Time heals all wounds.

Tell that to a person missing an eye or a limb…

This house has all the closet space you could ever want.
Ain’t no such thang.
All the Best,

I do believe that only applies to emotional healing. It was never intended to mean physically.

Not gone over all pages, but one that always get me is ” I swear ”
Today i think it is just something people say without know why the hell they say it.

I have on occasions said ” I swear on my honor ” while raising my right hand, and very unusual for me looking people in the eye as i speak, and people knowing me know this is something i care about, hence why i only have 1 friend and see / interact with very few people.
BUT ! saying that is as rarely used as me saying ” I will take that bet ”
