Well I thought that this 2nd T08 I got would compare in throw to the TK41 by looking at beams on the wall. The T08 looks to be brighter on the wall. I am updating this with a better picture from the T08. The hospot is smaller on the T08. I guess I’m going to have to take some more at longer distances. But the TK41 may be the winner.
The other T08 shot was blurry. But this one is a lot better.
I still say the T08 for the money will beat any other out there in XM-L. At least I bet this one I got will. That’s got to be putting out around 50,000 lux.
What do you guys think now that I posted a better T08 shot? It looks to just edge out the TK41 to me. That’s one hell of a flashlight for the money. I may just have to buy another.
It’s starting to feel like you’re pushing this one just a little too much ILF. Like you’re trying to generate enthusiasm in the hopes that it will subsequently generate sales.
I’m not saying that you actually have such an agenda, but that’s the way you’re coming across.
I’m going off of the actual tree itself and the hotspot from the T08 looks to be brighter. If you just look at the leaves the TK41 appears to be brighter. I ay it’s pretty close.
And cainn, you can believe what you want. And you can buy what you want. But the T08 is one heck a light for the price.
I didn’t say that I believed that you had some hidden agenda, only that it kinda seems that way. Mostly it’s because you keep calling this light the best light of it’s type for the price, but I don’t think it’s been established that it beats a HD2010 for throw, or total output, and I’ve mentioned that before.
But hey, I would love to be wrong about this. If it out-throws a HD2010, I’ll buy one myself. I’d want to. But we haven’t seen a comparison yet.
Thanks, that’s what I was asking for, although a dark surface helps if your camera can’t take low exposure shots (like mine, which is why I take them on a dark brick wall and about 3 meters back).
It’s pretty hard to distinguish which one has more throw, but you can see which one has brighter spill. ILF does your camera go any lower?
