"You mean the size is more cumbersome than the HD2010?"
Yes, I would agree with that. It's slightly longer and heavier. The shape of the tube is ok in the hand, but the HD2010 just fits like butta in your hand. The HD2010 is one sweet light on many levels. As far as overall ergonomics, I would give it the nod.
I agree with this whole heartedly, I just don’t like the p60 concept at all, be better if c8’s were standardized so you could just swap pills and reflectors to suit, their not though so poop on that.
I rather like the P60 format for "general use". More compact, more pocket friendly, and better looking (at least to me). I haven't touched my C8's since about April.
Now to get back on topic: this ZY-T08 is one freaking awesome light! Was playing around with it again tonight and just blown away by its throw! I must have found "Turbo" because it was like blasting daylight. I lit up the backside of a house about 600 feet away and could see every detail of everything there. I then pulled out my Jacob A60 and had a showdown between the two and the ZY-T08 smoked it easily.
I did notice a little trouble with mine not coming on until I gave it a little shake, but after shaking it stays on.
If you haven't ordered one of these yet YOU NEED TO!!!
I think you like this light about as much as I do. I got 2 now. And my 2nd one is I’m guessing 5000 lux brighter than my first. It’s a winner. Just a little under my Catapult V3 in throw I would say.
Well heck let me take some 100yd photos if my neighbors vehicles in’t in my way of the trees.
I agree. But you got to admit a $26 light compared to a $105 one is very impressive to be this good of thrower. You can buy 4 of the ZY-T08’s for one Catapult V3. But there is no denying the Catapult V3 is the way better quality flashlight. But you got to love that ZY-T08. The Catapult V3 has a lot more useable spill and is putting out more lumens.
Did we ever figure out how to get to the hidden “TURBO” mode? I have two now, they both perform the same. Tried shaking it, thinking the word “TURBO” in my mind really hard before turning it on, tried to see if I could loosen any part of the head to maybe access a second set of modes.
I still don't know how to get "Turbo" on purpose. Perhaps it is a funky driver that goes direct drive (but wouldn't I get way more than 4.0A on direct drive with two Panasonic cells?). When I was using it last night I was in "high" and it was fairly impressive, but then after going through the modes and/of turning off for a few seconds then turning back on it kicked into "Turbo" and I was blown away - definitely a difference in brightness. I left it in "Turbo" for a minute or two and never saw any ill affects (no turning blow, smoke, etc . . .). I do wish my "high" was consistently the 4.0 "turbo" level.
that way from what I gather the biggest difference which is in the tubes is compared. If ya can’t stack em’ then side by side will do. And while you’re at it a head-on reflector comparison would be just capital. I can’t think of any other menial PITA tasks at the moment to burden ya with.
