could have been. i wasnt really interested in the light myself. if i wanted something like this, id get the bat, mase, or SF one… id actually like all three… hang them from the key ring hanger by the front door lol
congrats on the sale. quite the flip. and hope to see what the buyers intentions are with it
I usually look for watches. Yesterday I found 3 Seikos, a Titanium Citizen Blue Angels Eco, a Swiss watch I never heard of (Bitunia), a fake Tag, a fake Gucci, Armitron ladies and a really cool ladies silver pocket-watch from 1871! I have no idea who made it…there are no markings on the dial and only a S/N and what looks like an “0800” stamped inside the clamshell.
I put batteries in them (except the Citizen…the batts very expensive!) and they all worked. The watch beeps occasionally, but I just don’t know enough about eco-drive watches…yet.
Considering I paid $30.00 for all…I hope to make a tidy profit. Gotta put them on ebay to help pay for my flashaholicism!
Actually, this is one area where the older Mags (ie those without a C or D in the serial number) are apparently better than the newer ones. From what I have heard, due to their larger ID, the older C Mags can accept a 26650 without having to bore out the tube. I actually picked up a couple of older C cell Mags from Craigslist a couple of weeks ago - a 2C and a 4C. And one thing that I have been thinking about possibly doing is running the 2C with a 26650 and a Malkoff XM-L drop-in. THAT would certainly make for a nice, little light that’s pretty bright, yet has decent runtime. A 3C would probably fit 2x26650 perfectly. And you could run a ROP that is both fairly small and has somewhat decent runtime off this setup.
