My last post goes for you too Mitro. Seriously, go back to CPF if you're going to be like that. There are plenty of people like you over there for you to mingle with and belittle.
I've publicly praised/complimented you at least twice while you've been here, and really, all I've ever gotten from you is negative vibes or something close to an insulting, terse tone myself. And certainly you've never had a kind word toward me at all. Seems it doesn't matter what the topic is, for you to act like that. You didn't direct the above insult at me, but that shit is not welcome on this board--says me. And as the primary instigator of the "IMR is LMR" rebellion, it might as well be me you're talking (down) to.
I find it funny that you'd insult a member for having "so much time on their hands to entertain themselves" with such a trivial matter. What do you think you're doing? Do you really have enough free time to create a thread where you hook up not just one but four AA-sized batteries to an elaborate system, including a computerized chart, in order to eke out exacting, if not elaborate information on which obscure battery beats the other obscure battery, which you even admitted you don't even have much need for? Do you realize how ridiculous this would seem to people outside this hobby? Yet you find someone who is exacting and precise in their language, or a native English-speaker who refuses to write recycled Chinglish, and all you have is an insult?
Maybe I should phrase it differfently. Do you have any concept that someone would have an interest or care outside of flashlights? In life, I've found almost everything comes down to communication, including almost all problems in life--so being exact and precise in language is NO vice. And that last point is something which you could take a lesson from, wasting your own time entertaining yourself reviling against a fellow member who's done nothing wrong and who certainly outmoted you in terms of civility of discourse, whatever sin you perceived in his own communication.
Seriously, which is more ignorant: learning what a serif is (which you encounter in your life far more than flashlights), or measuring the difference in millimeters between a S7 and Z41 tailcap--which you yourself have done, posted about, and taken photos of? I could easily fling a similar insult, but the fact is, being exact and precise about what we do is one of the things which sets us apart as flashaholics... it's often in our personalities, and extends to other facets of our life... Like, with me: communication--I seek precision when I engage in that, outside of flashlights. With you, I'm sure some other positive trait you exact precision on outside of flashlights, which some may consider foolhardy. Doesn't mean it isn't.
You've made some great technical posts, and some great pictorials, and that input has been personally useful to me in my life (because I, like you, have nothing better to do apparently but play with flashlights to entertain myself). But if I had to choose between all I've learned from you, WITH the right you feel to be an overtly dismissive, insulting, know-it-all asshole on BLF, I'd take take no Mitro at all, and none of that knowledge--and that goes for any others of you who would and are starting to do the same. There is a place for behavior like that: it's called CANDLEPOWERFORUMS DOT COM.
