Which is not as nice a light as the earlier versions but is still a good light. And I like stainless steel lights anyway. With a 14500 it gets too hot to hold in about 3 minutes.
I'd stick with the normal CR123-s, I dont want to invest into a charger too.
It's the first time I buy anything that uses CR123 battery. Any opinions about the mx-power or the Ultrafire? Aren't they good? They use Q5 led, were the Romisen uses a Q3, is that any advantage in brightness?
I have both the C3 and SH-034 and I'm also very fond of stainless steel (I wonder who got me hooked on stainless Don). They are both very nice but I love the SH-034 more even though it's a little bigger and heavier. It's also a lot brighter and built like a tank.
I've got 3 of them. It's my farm EDC light and my rifle light. It gives a 10meters diameter ball of light at 40meters. Usable light... hum... 80meters. It goes beyond that, but not usable. The lens are quite good.
It goes through a 16340 on high without problems. It hasn't a very good runtime. 20-30 minutes on high. It does heat, but won't get hotter than 40ºC(+-).
I love this light.
I don't use the rominsen that much, but it gives more light than the A1.
The A1, was my first EDC light. Used and abused this light for 1 year. Sometimes I grab it, but I have smaller lights, and with more powerfull leds. The output is not that great, but I like being able to have the 5 modes at my demand.
Well blue beam is in the middle of a review of the programable akoray 109 cr123 light like the ultrafire you were thinking about . http://budgetlightforum.cz.cc/node/1959
sorry everyone always has a different opinion ... Mine is just that the lights you're talking about are pretty ordinary other than the fact they are cr123.. the question in my mind is ..why make it a cr123 if it's also a AA and somewhat common as a AA ?? cr123 for me is sort of reserved for my own ..special light .. Not something you'd just hand to someone to use randomly .
If I didn't have a million Nitecore ex 10 123's I'd buy the eastward ..what it does have is the xpg ... what it doesn't have I've heard is a true low ..If people are saying that it's probably like 30 -40lumens
"sorry everyone always has a different opinion ... "
True. Probably not only because of differences in taste and use, but also because, the budget end of lights tends to produce quite a large variety of performance. Get two of the same light, and they'll be different.
