For all the howling wind we didn’t loose power once, nice!
A friend gave me a call on his way home from work to see if I had any sheer pins for his snow blower. I taped them to a football and had my son toss it to him from the garage.
now that cop car would be able to handle a pursuit in this weather lol.
sure you just werent causing trouble, throwing balls at passing police?
its been a lazy morning so i havent gotten any pics yet
This is going to be a long cleanup 6 hours was way to long to sleep. The snow is a solid 30 inches deep with drifts over 40, much deeper than my snow blower by can handle.
Still snowing here, will be until later tonight, about 25cm down right now, 15-20 still to go apparently. Wind is starting to pick up, but the storm is loosing it’s intensity as it goes over the ocean.
so i didnt realize that my loaner phone needs a memory card in it to take pics, so none from me
about 20 mins of shoveling and i have about 1/20th of my driveway done… yay for procrastination on fixing my snow blower… may break down and get someone to plow, but i hate cleaning the gravel off my lawn and patching where the plow dug the lawn up…
I forgot what a royal pain the butt it is to shovel snow. Living in apartment complex, not even supposed to have to shovel it... took me an hour to clean the car, stairs for myself, and old neighbors, and a path to sidewalk. Conclusion: I'm tired, and out of shape.
Can't imagine how you guys with more snow are faring. Good luck and take it slow.
another 20 mins and one car almost dug out… man i need a smaller driveway. looking at the snow bank and drift at the end of my driveway (by the road), im not sure if my xterra is going to be able to get out until i shovel it…
Had my eye for along time on of those Ariens…been so little winter here (other than the ‘dusting’ we got last night and this am, bit of wind too… why am I breathing hard, not what you think! Actually I am wheezing, too damn much snow shovelling!) hard to justify w all of life’s other needs…
But, I think you could dress that bad boy up a bit, handwarmers and some bright lights that would let you see your way down Rte 1 to where I live, next big storm…?
PS no energy to participate in “baby boom” left it all on the handle…!
I've had my Ariens for 8 years with no major problems. The only thing I had to do to it besides change the oil every season, is replace the rubber drive wheel last year. It was worn down and slipping pretty bad..
