If i had $500 per light to spend and no interest in the technology or modding, i wouldn’t frequent Budget light forum…
Now that said we do things here you can’t buy from a mainstream manufacturer, a few examples, designing our own drivers, modding lights in unique ways, replacing mcpcbs with sinkpads, some members make their own light bodies or parts, build their own test equipment and test emitters for real life output.
So perhaps low money outlay means more creativity for us?
In my case even if someday i could afford that $500 light, i would still come here for the envelope pushing we do
Isn’t it ironic that BLF ideas can be so good they get stolen.
We all want quality, and have differing means of paying for it, higher quality will always cost more, but in general most of us go for the best we can get at a certain price range. If lower price means some manageable bs from a seller thats the unfortunate non dollar cost we can’t avoid. I can’t imagine anyone here likes it, and if we could eliminate it somehow i can’t imagine any forum member not jumping at the chance. If some have it in their nature to stick up for unscrupulous sellers and practices, then i feel sorry for them but will not let them define the forum or the good people here.
