I'm picturing a C8 style light with a ramping driver that goes from .01 lumens to HOLY MOTHER OF -WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING !!!!!!

You still need to find a ramping driver that can boost 3.7V to 6V. :P

Or get a C8 extension for a second cell (using an 2-cell driver).

Maximum Lumens

Iā€™d use the same Carclo triple TIR that is used in the XP-G versions. Should work just as well since most of the Carclo Cree optics are made for either XM/XP emitters or for XR emitters. XR optics look like crap on an XM-L but the XP-G optics look great on an XM-L.

(Those Carlco XP-G optics must be larger than the single XP-G optics I use then. Not possible to fit XM-L in them)

No way you'll fit the dome of an XML in one of the Carclo triple XPG optics. Dedomed might work.

I think scaru has a p60 dropin with 3 dedomed xml and the carclo opticsā€¦
