If I don’t post the picture you won’t believe in this stupidity, so, wallbuys didn’t send invoice with my group buy NCRB unprotected,
customs guys counted content of the package as: 2 batteries and 2 mobile phone protectors, estimated value 20 USD which lead
to additional $4 (341 din) for taxes and + $1 for package handling. Well, I wanted to save and ended up paying $17.8 for 2 batteries.
I guess not every good deed goes unpunished :Sp
Mental memo: next time just buy the freakin batteries from fasttech, at least you get usable box instead useless iphone cases
it wasn’t worth the trouble, basically I would have to file a complaint and every complaint is charged with about $6 processing fee. People that invented this sistem were clever, it’s like in casino, house always wins
Well, its not always great getting a package in the US either. UPS tries to avoid you and not give your package so they can get back in the truck quickly and you have to go to another city to pick up the package. And USPS sometimes plays pingpong with your package: one of my packages from Wallbuys took 6 days from China, then 8 days languishing in the post office in the US, before it started being used as a pingpong ball, its currently (I assume) making its way back to the correct coast, I hope it stays this time and gets to me now that they’ve had their fun…
I am so far happy with post and customs
If a package gets forwarded to customs I send them the Paypal invoice per mail and everything is fine. No fees just 19% value added tax for orders over 22€(~28:money_mouth_face:.
For a week there was a package stuck in my country so I called DHL which is the German post and they said me where my china parcel was, it was 5miles away in post office(damn these guys have good tracking) and that it will be delivered next morning…
The only week spot in these international orders is the last kilometers with the postman, so I am always very very kind and say to a new guy where he can leave the parcels if I am not at home, I help if he brings a big package and so on….
But for 4$ I wouldn’t fill a single form too, that’s not worth the time…
Got my batteries today (three pairs) wrapped in two yellow iPhone5 cases, one blue iPhone 5 case, and one Pink iPhone 4 case.
Cells are great, already removed the protection circuits/button tops (ordered these about two days before the unprotected GB started). IMO, the circuit is OK, but the welds are rather weak. I could tear the tabs off without leaving behind any metal bits. Good for me, as clean-up was a cinch.
Compared to all the other cells I have, these are probably the best. Sanyo ZTs beat them slightly in low current (< 3A) running voltage. These are consistently testing out to between 3000mAh and 3100mAh at 1A drain.
Great cells for a great price!
Now we know you were really just trying to disguise your purchase of an iPhone case by wrapping it in batteries and are upset because the customs agents caught you!
The label was a dead giveaway for which case was which. Also, the iPhone4 has a headset hole on top, the 5 will not have that as the jack is on the bottom.
Well, I couldn’t even give away the cases that I got . There were 5 pink and 1 purple of the older model 4G/4S cases . My daughter laughed at me when I asked if she wanted them  .
