Big discount today

donā€™t know anything about the seller, or the light, but that is an amazing price as I looked around the net.

Ordered. I donā€™t know the seller either but itā€™s low risk with PayPal.

One thing though: It gave me the Chinese PayPal page and I had to change the URL to take the ā€œCNā€ out of it so it would give me the PP login page in English. I saw that Chinese PP login and almost hit cancel, but this headlamp looks really nice so Iā€™ll take a chance. For this price Iā€™m happy to hack the URL

nice headlamp! But where is the high quality headlamp in this form factor running on one AA/14500?, I have a cheapy, but wouldn't mind a Nitecore or Crelant version.

460 lumens at 2A seems a bit poor to me, my 2A mods have higher output

hmm, once again i find myself ā€œooh, looks like a nice deal! i could probably use one of thoseā€¦ā€
i have no previous experience with crelant, are they good?
and iā€™m not sure whether i need or even ā€œneedā€ a throwy headlampā€¦

I have the Nitecore HC50 headlamp which is 18650 and itā€™s much more compact than I thought it would be, and comfortable to wear.

I have it too, now the only new headlamp i want is hc90 :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice deal, considering theyā€™re $48-$50 elsewhere.

It will be my first headlamp this decadeā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue:
Have to dream up an activity to use it with.
Bicycling, spelunking, exploring crawlspaces, working on a carā€¦.

Here's some info I found at some other site ;) I would be more interested if the emitter were accessible and if it started in low mode first.

Looks fairly promising, nice job. I like the fact it has a top band. I have a few questions.
ā€¢ Can you describe the UI?
ā€¢ Is the brightness ramped linear or logarithmic?
ā€¢ Do you have access to the emitter, in other words does the head unscrew?
ā€¢ Do you have any accessories to make the beam more floody?
ā€¢ What is the lowest setting (it canā€™t be 120 lm with .01A)?
ā€¢ What is the beam profile (20/80, 70/120)?
ā€¢ Can you run unprotected batteries?
ā€¢ Does it have reverse polarity protection?
ā€¢ Is there a pocket clip option?
Thank you in advance for answering the questions.

Hi Knight_Light,

Many thanks for your questions, good questions!

1. Press the switch to turn the flashlight on (High mode comes on first). *** With the flashlight on, click the switch once to access the low mode, double click the switch to access Strobe mode, double click again to access SOS mode, click once to turn off. *** With the flashlight on, press and hold the switch to ramp through the infinitely variable brightness system.
2. The brightness ramped linear.
3. The head screwed and unable to get to the emitter.
4. The headlamp itself is the orange peel reflector with large spot, and currently don't have accessories to make it more floody.
5. Yes, you're right, it is 120 lm at 0.3A
6. The largest angle of the orange peel reflector is 100Ā°.
7. Yes, it could run with unprotected batteries, but protected batteries are more recommended.
8. Yes, it has reverse polarity protection.
9. Only have the headband.

Enjoy your time, thank you again!

Crelant

good thing i have no cash, otherwise I would get one of thisā€¦

The slider on that HC90 looks a little dicey. Iā€™m curious how it stands up to real world use. This Crelant head lamp just uses the main button to get variable brightness. This only my second head lamp so Iā€™m excited to see how it does. Someone told me not to buy the ā€œunicornā€ style head lamps but this Crelant just looks cool.

That was a huge turn off for me. The hc50 looks like a beautiful piece of functional art, but the hc90 looksā€¦ ā€˜Mehā€™ with that peculiar slider.

If I had money to spend I would get this crelant.

I also have this one, and it is a beauty in all respects! My favorite light in my meager collection.

Is it 29.99$ shipped?

And is Crelant a budget light company or a premium brand?

yes its 29.99 shipped

31.99 if you want registered tracking

IMO crelant is a high end budget brand or low end premium brandā€¦ way better than anything trustfire/ultrafire, but not fenix

Itā€™s a superb design and implementation. Nitecore really hit it out of the ballpark with the HC50. I think I will hold off on the HC90 until somebody confirms whether the slider is any good. Seems like maybe they outsmarted themselves with that one.

It sure looks like itā€™s worth $29.99! Anyone have experience with this seller? I hope they donā€™t screw me.

Looks nice, but I don't trust unknown sellers....sorry

Picked one up. I really like Crelant lights, and paypal has our risk.

Yeah. Let PayPal take that risk. As far as Iā€™m concerned, every one of these sellers is shady, even the better known ones. So I look at it as risk management.

You're right. I think I'll order one myself. Paypal will stand behind us if there's a problem.
