Test/Review of EnerPower+ 18650 3350mAh (Blue) 2015

EnerPower+ 18650 3350mAh (Blue) 2015

Button top version

Official specifications:

  • Cell Brand: Sanyo
  • Cell Model: NCR18650BL
  • Cell Size: 18650
  • Cell Typical capacity: 3350 mAh (12.58Wh)
  • Cell Minimum capacity: 3200 mAh (12.02Wh)
  • Rated voltage: 3.7V
  • Standard charge: 680mA x 5.5hrs to 4.2V
  • Rapid charge: 1700mA x 2.5hrs to 4.2V
  • Maximum charge current: 3400mA (1C)
  • Discharge end voltage: 3.0V
  • Cycle life: 300
  • Operating temperature: 0 – 45°C (charge), -20 - 60°C (discharge)
  • Storage temperature: -20 - 50°C (1 week), -20 - 35°C (6 months)

This is a protected high capacity cell with button top.

There is very good tracking between the two cells, but the cell is not designed for high current (In this case above 7A) and the capacity drops with load.

This is a protected high capacity cell with flat top. This is not the usual flat top, but a added top that is flush with the top of the cell.

It is the same cell as above and the performance is exactly the same.

Conclusion

A very good cell with protection, making it useful for many applications, except the most demanding.

The batteries was supplied by ENERDan for review.

quote "Cycle life 300" is official? OMFG

Do we have the official datasheet PDF download? i cant find

LiIon cells is usual 300 or 500 cycles, this one is a 300 cycle.

I cannot share the one I got. The specification at the top is from the Enerdan datasheet, there are some small differences between that and the Sanyo datasheet, but they both agree on the cycle life.
