DMM 3.48$ ...

Nice! Not too shabby. I might pick up one of these...

With these cheap DMMs you probably want to order a spare pair of test leads, since the supplied leads are usually of very low quality and are prone to break (especially at the connection of the wire to the metallic probe - might be hard to fix).

But the multimeter itself should be quite good (although it might have issues with testing LEDs - mine won't read the voltage correctly, but the LED will glow very faintly so it can still be used to test LEDs but probably not other diodes).

It was tested in a german forum (good results) ... I own the test leads shown in the picture and they are ok if you only want to check the voltage of any Li-ion. For high current messaurements I use different leads + a high quality DMM which is 20 times more expensive compared to this one ^^

Can anyone recomend better quality low resistance leads for use with this multimeter?

These are good but cost almost as much as the meter.

Still a LOT cheaper than say, Fluke's offerings.

For the 10A range I'd get some short pieces of heavy copper wire from an electrician and use that instead. The solid-core stuff used for wiring houses is good for this.

You should be able to find short lengths (30-50cm) for little or no money.

I'm using self made leads. Cost = next to nothing ^^

I have the exact model of this multimeter bought locally at 12€.

Im very satisified. The leads on mine are pretty decent. No idea what did they bundle with the 3usd one.
