So i have been looking at these forums CPF and other information on the net on making and upgrading lights.
The reason i started my research is that my old Ultrafire C1 took a dump on me a while back and when it did i lost my EDC light.
that is when i got sucked in, I work as a new Machinist and have been looking for a project to help develop my skills. First it was to fix my light, and help my father with his 502b running an MCE to increase the throw of the light. then it became Wow i can make a heat sink and mod a maglite to have some serious power.
so that’s where i’m at now. i figure i’ll move over to the DIY forum and post my ideas and goals for my project’s there to get some community feedback on what will work, what won’t work, and whats plain silly.
This seems more like the place for me, i have never really been that big a fan of the Big forums like CPF.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. part of me is hoping to maybe work this into something bigger like building my own host or doing some kind nuts mod’s I have a heavy firearm and automotive background as well so the options are pretty endless for me.
right now this seems like a great tool to build my machining skills. Not to mention i kind of became a flashlight nut when i got my first Surefire then my Ultrafire later on.
right now i’m looking into picking up a new EDC light, I’m hoping to find a P60 host thats smooth in the pocket, Takes 18650’s, 3 Mode, (high, med, low) and running an XML emitter.
I just need to figure out who i’m going to go through, I’m really sick of DX’s shipping times to the US and also need to pick up the parts for my Mag Mod, and to fix my Ultrafire, perhaps even upgrade my G2.
