What's up with the New Eneloops

http://www.rechargeablebatteries.co.uk/basket.asp

These are widely available in Europe ..So  why aren't we hearing reports about these batteries ..Has anyone been using them ?

Seems like they're getting cheaper too.

Living in the USA.. is tough  !

They aren't that expensive I'm wondering who has used them  they are like 4$ a piece .. someone has to be wanting 4 new batteries .. I think this is smarter anyway 75% vs. 85%..means nothing to 99.8% of the population and if so run a regular eneloop ..75%of it's total capacity after a year is plenty .. and 750 charges.. who uses that many charges on a LSD (low self discharge) battery anyway ?? the extra mah. with longer runtimes is what we crave  ...AND they're sexy .XX

I would love to have a few sets of those new XXeloops but I don't think they will be available in the US anytime soon. Cry

Haven't seen them at all in Canada, not on Amazon Canada or US, but available from a few eBay sellers (with a healthy markup, I might add).  I would be interested if they showed up as a 25% increase in capacity is nothing to sneeze at.

"XX batteries can be charged 500 times."

Looks like longevity is sacrificed somewhat.. fwiw
