[TEASER] New interesting triple U2 high lumens high lux by cnqualitygoods

More pictures next week by the guy himself.

You might want to save up and not get other lights.

U2. Using the high PWM (1kHz?) DRY driver.

Interesting huh. I guess it’s 3 × 18650 and the tube/neck that attaches to the head is a bit bigger than the TK70’s D sized tube.

Looks to me the same quality as Fenix’s HA.

That’s a big looking head.

The low mode should be lower.

If the cells are parellel wired, I might get it . . .

(Just this morning I thought I had enough lights, and wouldn’t buy any more ;))

Just guessing / speculating, but I bet it will be something like a DRY with TK70-style head.

That would mean 3×18650 in series, 4 modes, and high PWM.

And yes: If it will be according to the above specs, I’m in! For sure!

I wonder how this light will compare against the Xtar S1 in throw and lumens, I am looking for a triple led thrower with variable brightness levels

I wish 4×18650s and cells are series wired.
It will be better regulation than parallel Wink

My guess is that it won’t be that cheap and above 100 bucks. But it won’t be above 170 shipped because that is where the TK70 comes in. Big Smile (though the TK70 is much bigger, it has all the flashaholic niceties like no PWM and hidden flashies and 4 levels of illum including 5 lumens, the ramping between the levels and switching on is gradual and not instant like the budgetlights, and of course a nice AR lens….well it’s a Fenix after all).

But yes it does look like HA, so that’s a win already. Not sure if it has AR lens and driver that’s all.

I already have a TK70 and XTAR S1 (and too many multi emitter lights), so this would be a very difficult decision for me!

Ric will post more info next week or so.

I’m holding my TK70 right now and comparing the machine work of the light’s head, it is exactly the same. Maybe this is a clone of the upcoming TK75? Or a different light altogether, just using the 70’s head. Whatever it is, if you haven’t actually used the TK70, it’s a real beast, (big 10cm head). Now is the chance to get real combination of flood AND throw for a lot less money, I hope!

If driven correctly to at least 2.8A, 100k cd is definitely not an issue with the U2.

Looks great. What I’d like to see is this light in either a single XM-L or SST-90.

When I get home, I’ll measure the length of an XML emitter, then put as many in a straight line and see how many fit in the head from the pictures.

Is this a thrower? We have a bunch of good triple floods available. Im interested if someone can actually make a top notch thrower and start sending some lumens down field..

Can i get an Amen?

Well.. We have to define "thrower"..

If TK70 is around 100kcd and this has similar head dimensions (+ might be driven harder, hope so), it will throw. Better than my de-domed FF STL-V6, which can be considered as a good thrower.

Yep, that was exactly what I was going to do_the-. I
Looks to be an exact copy of the TK70 head. Love it!
