A TF X7 clone with xm-l for $45.99? Not bad if it is true.

How can it run 3 18650’s and have a max input voltage of 9v? And then minimum input voltage is 3.5v, so can it run one 18650?

I think its like a mini version. I saw a pic on here where someone had both, and its quite a bit smaller than the real one. Something like a 56mm reflector instead of an 86mm one. I notice they don’t list dimensions, looks sus.

I was thinking the same thing, Gords. Wink  A bit confusing to say the least.

  • Battery Configurations: 3 x 18650 batteries (Batteries not included)
  • Voltage Input: 3.6~4.5 V, 9 V max

I do wish they gave the dimension specs or at the least the Small Sun model # or a photo where you could read it off the light.  I'd like to know just how big the head is on this.

X7 was modded on Andi’s thread. Very nice. I think he did a lathe shortening to take a single 18650, a driver mod too (one of them 7137? at KD?), LED upgrade to U2 from SST-50? & UCL lens upgrade. http://budgetlightforum.com/node/14133 & http://budgetlightforum.com/node/14134

Here’s the thread: Modded X7.

I would order this but I got a x6 already. SST-90 led! Not sure but, I swear I’ve seen it as low at 36 dollars on ebay yesterday.

I got mine.

Yes, it´s a X7 Clone!
But quality of the X7 is better.

Used driver delivers max. 2A to the LED.

And it uses a 22mm Driver.

orig. ~40KLux

Now, after some modding (XM-L U2 dedomed on Copper, use lathe to made the pilldiameter 26mm and use a 5A driver, UCLp Lens) Lux = 194000. Smile

Party

Holy crap, Andi!! My dedoming of my t13 gave zero increase but yours always seem to double at least. What is the head diameter of that light and what is the model number?

Edit: I see it... ZY-T10

But after modding i think, it´s more clever and buy the X7 on ebay for 50€ and modd this.
…better Quality, 26mm driver can used and with orig driver in the X7(SST-80) XM-L is working with ~5A. >)

Only thing i would miss is the LED Protector of the SmallSun Version, this is better for XM-L.

“Clone” against Orig.:

…i notice, that the reflector of the orig. X7 has ~2mm more inner diameter, but Throw are the same.
