are there any good li-ion wall chargers out there?

Some idiot stole my charger at work last week. It was just a dsd cheapie but it worked. I don’t want a large 2 or 4 bay charger away from home. Something that plugs into the wall out of the way is ideal. Ideas?

The Xtar MP1S is a good choice. It is compact (single cell). Safe and reliable. Charges via wall or USB. Good for 16340, 14500, 18650 and only costs $10.

Why not get the ML-02 which is smaller, cheaper, and has a USB output port?

I had one and didn’t like it much. It’s primarily designed for 18650. It doesn’t readily adapt to various other cell sizes.

I just use the same spacers that come with the MP1S to charge smaller ones. The USB output is the main reason I got it though, perfect for EDCing when you have an iphone.

Mine started getting weird when using the USB charger. I don’t think the OP needs it for charging a cell phone in his office.

True, I guess either will work. Wink

I use this one at work. Also handles 26650 without any issues. I haven't been able to find it for $10 though since IOS quit carrying it. If you pay much more than that, you might as well get an Xtar WP2 II. Not much bigger but requires an outlet.

Watch it. That one doesn’t come with a wall adapter. Some do, some don’t. Look at the price. Then look at the included accessories. Mine came with a wall adapter and a car adapter.

Good catch. That's the one I have, just plug it into my computer in full view. Here's the complete one you're referring to:

I’ve considered that charger as I could use it to charge my phone on the go as well. The only problem I’d have with it is that id only use it connected to the wall which supposedly doubles the charging output which would probably fry my 16340’s. Ideally, what id like is a charger with the plug mounted on the charger so that its on the outlet when its plugged in.

Forget the car charger option. Go with this.

To me the coolest thing about a charger is being able to charge in the car!

Decided instead to buy a wp2-ll. It was less than 10 dollars more and will fit my needs better.

Yes a good choice. I would have suggested that one first, but you said you didn’t want a “two bay” charger.
P.s. buy a couple of extra spacers with it.

When I made this thread, I originally had something in mind like one of those three dollar chargers that plug in and hang from the wall outlet. I know those are probably junk so I was asking if there are better made ones like that but I guess not. Anyway, the single bay chargers like you described sounded like a great idea but I’m a minimalist when it comes to spending money. I could only see buying one charger so it would have to fit all my needs. If I decided to ever buy a two cell light, I’d be regretting buying a single bay charger. Yeah, I have a touch of OCD. LOL

The main thing with Li IoN is safety. You chose a good safe charger.
