Just notice this 2 new 3AA & 6AA lights on their 2012 catalog.
They were mentioned to be announced year ago but still no info about them.
I once heard the zoom head on a prototype Fenix dind’t work as it was supposed to and there were very little difference between flood and spot settings. So some design issues might have to be solved before they are out, I thougt.
Yup, I guess Fenix probably got the issue sorted out else they wouldn’t list it on their catalog. I’m not a big fan of flashlight using optic lens. So these doesn’t quite stir an interest in me. Thgt it might be of interest to you BLFers!

I’m expecting them to be at Olight Baton S35 and S65 range. I like the functionality my Led Lenser gives and expect something successful from Fenix but who knows. My E15 with TIR has an awful misalignment in the emitter.
Have to look at the emitter they will propose, the price point, the beam ringiness of such a systemand whether ipx8 waterproof.
Of course. Their E series lights are really good lights for the prices. LDs are a bit premium and more powerful so I still don’t expect them to be bargains.
