Can a Defiant Tactical be modded?

I saw one of these on here I think. Loved how clean the beam is and the color and brightness. I bought one. I was thinking it was $5, but it was $8 I guess.

I carry this in one of my bags for work a lot. The clip doesn’t make much sense to me, but it could attach to a lanyard or something, I suppose.

Can it be modded? I want to get a modded light, but not sure what I’d really want. Just kind of wondering if this one could be or has been modded.

It could be but because it is not made of metal there is a limit to how powerful it could be. If you want to dip your feet into the world of modding then a P60 is a good way to do it.

What exactly would modding with a P60 do? Is that what they call a drop in? Would it have to be programmed? I really have no desire to get into this suck drug of modding lights, however, I do (for whatever reason) want to get a modded light. Just not sure what.

A P60 is a drop in for Solarforce lights. There is no programming required, just soldering a few things and you can get exactly what you want.

What you would do is order a empty P60 drop in. Along with an LED of your choice (16mm star) and a 17mm driver to go along with that LED. .

And, I am guessing each one of these does a different thing?

Yeah, I would go with XM-L if you need maximum output but not that much throw and short runtimes. If runtimes or throw are important than go for XP-G.

holy crap. i need a sit down lesson in all this stuff.

If you're in Irmo, SC you're only ~ an hour away from me. Hell, I could give you a quick crash course :)

I would love to get up and learn some of this stuff. You’ll have to let me know what all I need to buy, or maybe you have it and I can just buy it from you? It’ll be several weeks as we just had a new baby on Thanksgiving. If you want to learn about straight razor shaving, I can teach you that. ha ha. Shoot me a message. Sounds good.
