In the last few days I noticed that DoingOutdoor's eBay site has been down. Last night I got an email from Bill Quiao telling me that eBay closed his store because he had some Enlan and Ganzo knives with axis locks. I guess Benchmade is putting the squeeze on.
Doing Outdoor is one of my favorite eBay stores, and I am glad to report that Bill is going to be opening his own store in the next two weeks.
Doing Outdoor sells mostly top end flashlights such as Nitecore, Jetbeam, Olight, Sunwayman, Klarus etc. and Chinese folders like Enlan, Navy, Sanrenmu and Ganzo. I have bought several flashlights from DoingOutdoor and the prices were always the best, and shipped promptly.
Lets hope Bill the best with his new store
(this is the letter from Bill informing us of his closure)

thanks for your business first
and regret to tell you that our ebay store (Doingoutdoor) was closed by ebay

please allow me to tell that we will own our website about two weeks later,
I recently got three lights from him, a Lumentop TD12, an Olight I6 and A Nitecore EA4. All came in great prices and in very good times via Singapore Post. I returned his shop to give some positive feedback and he was gone. I then searched for Nitecore EA4s and found a shop with the same pictures but with just a few items.
I just wanted to report that despite the recent transitions with Doing Outdoor they still are providing the same great customer service. My order from them via Aliexpress was processed quickly and I have my Ganzo 704 in my hands today. Total time was 2 weeks but I suspect Aliexpress and recent US holiday account for half the time. Doing Outdoor remains my 1st go-to shopping stop when looking for something new.
I want to do the same as wahoowad above. I was put on to an offer in the BLF deal thread, no comments allowed so I found this thread, bumpity necro bump.
I ordered 2 Sunwayman V25C’s, at $39 each on May 21, was told they were posted via Singapore Post on the 23rd, and they arrived to Australia at my door on May 30. Postage was free.
Afraid that I agree with Benchmade on this. The Axis lock is still protected by US Patents and international treaties. One reason I have little respect for many Chinese manufacturers AND the Chinese government is their total ignoring of international patents and patent law treaties. I bought a pair of supposed Sony high end earphones from an Amazon seller and they turned out to be Chinese counterfeit items. Even marked “Made in China” while the genuine Sony headphones are made in Thailand. IN fact per my information no Sony or Shimano production is done in China. I did get my money back.
I mean some Chinese makers are so dumb that they even counterfeit junk quality Chinese made items such as Ultrafire batteries and flashlights. And if the originals are bad imagine how bad the counterfeits are! |(
