I keep one eye on Walmart coleman lights.
In Feb 2013, at my local Walmart, Coleman bumped up the 144 lumen xp-e to 150 lumens. And the Xp-c looks like 120 lumens now. Now, called indestructable to keep up with Rayovac.
Is this xp-e2 and xp-c2 technology, or just shorter runtime?
Headlamps were still not exciting. I am sticking with my Rayovac xp-g r3, which offers reasonable brightness and lux (1100 lux to 1450 lux depending on battery type) I found that an l-shaped tin foil wad, plus epoxied elastic to hold in battery and tin foil on battery negative, allowed me to easily convert 3 AAA to one 18650 format, with option to go back to 3 AAA in emergency.
