Lambda VPT XP-G2

This measures 3.3Amps on turn on.

Wow, I’d say it’s quite big :open_mouth: What’s the diameter of the head? 8cm?

Nice looking light! Do you know how many lux it is rated at?

I’m currently using some borrowed equipment to get my bench set up, but lambda measured it at 120 lux@1m. Now I’ve also used an aspheric to easily surpass 250 Lux. I have an original DEFT and with the reflector it appears to have equal throw but with around 800 lumens. With an aspheric it’s quite a bit more as shown in the video. The stuff is top notch with low lows less than 1 lumen and 38 levels of brightness.

I’ve dedomed this light and measured at 4.73m and calculated it to be 534Lux. It’s currently running on 3c cells and pulls 3.3A at turn on.

cool! i hope kevin starts making more soon even though the varacontroller is discontinued

i wonder if you could see 4.5amp out of 4c cells

I wrote on the forum over there and want to see if that’s a possibility. Even running on a single IMR might be a possibility. I have a D extension and could do the 4c if it’s not going to instanly fry the light. Even now it’s putting out a very tight beam angle and throws noticeably farther than a K40vn. Bonus is it got rid of the blue tint of the xpg2.

Is there any info on that MCPCB? How its made or anything? I need one of those for a project.

Maybe this will help
