*Important* possible scam/spoof site ?

Be careful guys. I’m really not sure if this is a spoof site but I tried to log in and it says I don’t exist as a user.

Then I realised the link wasn’t correct and the layout was different.

I quickly found the correct site and proceeded to change my password immediately.

Here is the possible spoof site

http://www.thrunite-shop.com/forum/index.php

Here is the correct site

http://www.thrunite-store.com/forum/index.php

It could be legit but I’m just warning you guys incase it’s looking for your login details.

Apologies if I’m wrong

Interesting.
The same email address is listed as registrar at each domain, but all the other details are different.
http://www.thrunite-shop.com/ redirects to http://www.thrunite-store.com/
The forum entries look the same.
Ebay has both thrunite-shop and thrunite-store.

Thanks for checking Suncoaster.

I sincerely hope it’s legit and I apologise to Thrunite if it is. It just looked rather strange to me, as if someone had managed to clone their database in order to get username passwords.

Hopefully it’s just their shop website that hasn’t been completely finished.

It’s possible that it’s a mirror of some kind, in case of a server problem. It does seem a bit queer that it isn’t fully set up though.

Its legit, even the posts are exactly the same on both forums.

The thrunite-shop.com was going to take over as the new online shop instead of thrunite-store.com but they decided not to go ahead with it (for now at least).

Also thrunite-shop.com will redirect to thrunite-store.com

Thanks ezarc,

I would rather have egg on my face knowing it’s legit than some users have their accounts hacked.

Sb, please feel free to delete this thread if you see it.

Thanks

Yes, they are the same. The first site is just directing you to the unskinned (default) version phpBB, while the second link loads the same forum, only with Thrunite’s skin.

Good to know.

What gave me alarm bells was that it said my username didn’t exist so I couldn’t log in. Although it said at the bottom of the forum index page that I was (strange)

This was before I logged in to the proper site.

Lol, even if they were a fake site they sent you a tn31 and 30. That’s pretty good for a scam site.

P60dropins.com (just a redirect for now)

Thanks for the warning. I would have found that suspicious too. I don’t think one can be too careful!
